Guys do not absolutely DO NOT underestimate the point he makes about body posture. I started mewing when I was 18 and up until about 24 I noticed great changes better jawline cheek bones even my nose changed etc. however my chin had always been slightly recessed. I looked more into mewing and I started swallowing and chewing better and holding a way better posture with my neck almost always straight with my head looking straight almost down and when I new I am almost alwyss in a chin tuck and in about 6-7 months even less at the age of 25 my chin came forward to an ideal projection from the side. Body posture is so important !!!!

The upper teeth should be positioned slightly infront of the lower teeth I believe, if the uppers directly touch the lowers I THINK this is called an edge to edge bite and needs correction.

Hi Doctor Mike Mew. I have a question regarding narrow palate and how to expand the palate. So, I am currently 17 years old and have been mewing for the past 1 year. 6-7 months accurately, because in the initial days i couldn't mew properly, i could only lift the left side of my tongue properly. But with time and proper chewing I can lift the right side of my tongue too. But I still can't mew properly, when I swallow then only my left side of the tongue lifts properly and the right does not get lifted the same. And also when I mew, I can feel that something is missing. I can't properly suction hold, sometimes I have to keep reminding my self to lift my right side of the tongue to the upper palate too. I am pretty sure this is all due to having a narrow palate. So, is it good to get MSE or any kind of palate expander for my narrow palate? Because the only problem stopping me from mewing completely seems to be the narrow palate.

Mewing is about maintaining the tongue and the posture in their natural positions. At your age, you may not see any visible changes but it will avoid any potential problems that could arise during aging.

No, unfortunately. All you might do is putting a halt to any degradation but unfortunately there will be no changes whatsoever in bonestructure or widening of the jaws. Only MSE or MARPE will be of effect after 40 in terms of widening. The tongue alone will not do anything. All these videos give a too positive idea about the whole thing but in reality mewing wont do much for many if not most people after 25. And the same thing goes for trying to find a provider for MARPE; it is expensive and many people get rejected for it.
