The dog gasping for air, was also because his lungs were full of dust, causing distress. Even in his owners arms he was stressed and shaking. Thank you for saving the pup.

It really is always the miracle that the poor dog didn’t die. Just imagine what it would be like for a dog of this size to be trapped onto that rubble. I would’ve thought it would have suffocated after all that time. It’s also amazing that they even knew where it was considering how deep it was. Thank you so much to the emergency services here for what they did. I hope the dog made it through in the end and didn’t die of shock. These guys are absolute heroes.

I think we should also give our admiration and respect to the emergency and rescue crews in Ukraine at the moment. Their jobs mean their they are dealing first hand with the consequences of not only rescuing members of their community but also retrieving their bodies, and seeing their cities devastated by the bombings must be emotionally and mentally exhausting. My Russian isn't fluent but I believe the old man was thanking the men who saved his dog. Many elderly keep pets for companionship and health. This old man probably lost everything so rescuing the dog may have saved his life as well.

Perhaps he is like us, all we have is each other and our pets, I (writer of this comment) teared up. Two of our beloved dogs died three years ago, we can fully understand his fear of losing his puppy, thankfully the military and first responders recused him/he, and this gentleman's life as well.

Polacy za czasów I Rzeczpospolitej też nie szanowali Ukraińców i Kozaków walczących o swoją wolność uważali za wrogów. Gdyby wtedy Polacy szanowali Ukraińców i zawarli z nimi sojusz, to Rosja nie podbiłaby ani Ukrainy, ani Polski. I wtedy nie byłoby tego zła, które wydarzyło się 80. lat temu na Wołyniu. Niestety, wśród Pilaków też byli bandyci (tzw. żołnierze wyklęci), którzy pod pozorem walki z komunistami, mordowali cywilów: Żydów, Białorusinów i Ukraińców.
