Gosh, Nora is growing so fast. I cant believe how much work it is to get that greenhouse up. Makes me dizzy every time you go up the ladder, Al. Gina is such a good helper to you. So sorry you are losing some of your baby chicks. The extra few hours in travel make a big difference. Good video. :-)

I have something I want to say. I found your channel about a month ago and I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY LIKE IT!! I have found other channels before I found yours and some channels you just don't vibe with. But your channel I LOVE! I can HONESTLY say...........YOU are one of the hardest working men I have ever seen in my life!! I look at what you do, and it just amazes me. I am a 51 year old woman with messed up knees, and I just look at what all you do and I am in AW!! I love watching everything you do. Then those goats....They are so darn cute!! Hope just has me cracking up how hoppy she is, when you are going to feed her. Then there is Willow and baby Nora. Just so Precious!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait for more babies!! I do have one question. Is Olivia going to get more chickens like Mary Carl at Cog Hill Farm? Keep up the Awesome work and I can not wait to see how everything turns out with this green house.

Olivia is fantastic with all the animals, and the animals respond to her with love back. So sweet, kind and gentle. The way life should be all the time. G-D Bless and stay safe.

Your method of setting those posts in concrete is probably the best ! Half a bag of concrete is adequate for such a light structure. Also very important to "mix" the the concrete in the hole with a long stick so that what is on the bottom is well hydrated.
@johnahern7704 жыл бұрын
jack patteeuw From what I saw there was not enough water poured into the holes. Most of it ran over the edges into the dirt. I doubt that any reached the bottom half at all.

Hey Al I know you say home grown pig is the best but I must tell you this. I bought 1/2 pig just before Covid went big from a "ye olde butcher" shop here in our area. They do a excellent cut of pork and smoke the hams and bacon. The price was real reasonable and if I had to buy the pig feed it and take all the care you do with your animals it was cheap!!!! We live in a patio home in town and it is not the appropriate place to raise pigs or chickens for that matter. I just want to shout out to the farmer who did raise that meat for me it was delicious as you would say. Thank you farmers for keeping all of us without the means to raise our own meat we really appreciate you and all you do. I just purchase some beef steaks this week and they too are prime and tasty. At the present we are not having any trouble here getting meat products but must stay diligent in our purchasing this kind of food. Stay safe and keep on farming........ hugs from Minnesota

Gooooooood Afternoon , Al , Gina & Olivia , Wow ! Just putting together the frame for the greenhouse is a major job. And you still have to install the wiggle wire channels . I'm waiting with bated breath to see you put the plastic covering on. I recently watched two men put the covering onto a large greenhouse like yours. Nothing to it for them. Pretty easy in fact. For them ! It also appeared that they had a day with no breeze at all . You might want to watch some videos of how others have done it before you try putting the plastic on yourself. There is the easy way and then there is my way . lol Mine is the Murphy's Law way.

Good morning. Good to see just what goes into constructing a green house. Lampkins Hatchery in Maine used to send me extra Rock Cornish, in case some didn't make it. They came UPS and fortunately they all made the trip to NH! We are attempting to design a walk-in hoop house over two of our raised beds. Lee Poisson designed a raised bed pod, similar to yours ad used a gas piston to raise and lower the lid to control temperatures. Maybe he called it THe Pod, can't recall...

When I worked for America West Express, often we would get live "peeps" (as we called them) from the post office to travel on our early flights. I'd call inside on the radio so our female rampers knew and would just hold the mike next to the box, and they'd come running. We kept them in the trucks with the heater running until departure time. Just had that memory come to mind when I heard your peeps. I do enjoy watching your adventures. Blessings from Ohio.

One year we helped a neighbour clear an area to pour a concrete slab next to the farmhouse. You couldn't get to it with any kind of machinery, so we had to handball out all the rocks we dug up. We took the stone loaded truck to a local weigh bridge just to see how many we shifted in one day. A little over two tonnes worth. And the site clearing took three days. Then we had to wheelbarrow in all the concrete to lay the slab. I forget how many tonnes that little lot added to our overall load. It was a long week! So, I definitely hear you on constantly digging up rocks. Such a shame you already lost three chicks. I know losing animals is always part of the game, but I agree that the extra time before they arrived with you was likely the reason. I hope you haven't lost any more since. If your post is anything like ours in the UK, it's getting messed up badly due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Sounds like tape getting ruff. Going try some logging tape out myself. See how they hold up to the soil. If you get into greenhouse assembly you have lifts. Ladder use would be min or have box stand in and someone lift and lower you in a tractor or skid loader. Or have scaffold.

@Judy G. most folk do, but not every follower/watcher is in the US. When/If you travel overseas do you make the effort to learn the language of the country you are visiting or just expect them to speak English? Even in some pretty big parts of the US, English maybe the language of business and government, but its certainly not the primary language spoken. I remember a few years ago being accosted by some woman in the middle of a store in Tennessee who demanded I speak English as she thought I was talking about her, she berated me heavily. Asking where I was from....before putting on my best Queens English.....England, I was just speaking in my local accent which she couldnt quite grasp, despite being on the phone long distance to a friend......it shamed her badly.....dont be that person Judy.
