@@davidgetchell3633 I'm still waiting on Sheep and recommended High Fence Fallow Deer, who will eat up-to the last blade of grass ( Red Poppy Ranch Videos ) ( Hay feeds ) even better than Sheep, from my inexperienced viewpoint, but they Calf unattended and multiple like Rabbits, plus Run-about !
@davidgetchell36332 сағат бұрын
@@4Classie Good day 4Classie, I've seen the fencing Heath had to build for his deer and who knows what NH laws are to have deer. My thoughts, sheep eat grass but goats will eat all the new brush that is growing on the cleared land(keep the brush down), NOT pet goats like Hope and Daisy but MEAT GOATS, good for the land and good for the freezer, just my thoughts. Have a great day 4Classie !
@4ClassieСағат бұрын
David; Yes Extreme Fencing, but I believe Al could easily get approval, if he goes thru the burden of making pens, Heath got some Males with his new first herd and has only one now, so likely got Venison' early on, I am glad Heath quit on Goats, he doesn't have the Skill-set Al has with animals ! I'm not saying or expecting Al to build all the Fencing for years' if ever, it's just that the population growth is highly beneficial and requires less feed, less attention with a probability of less regulation for selling the meat, ( I'm guessing ) their was discussion of Ostrich or Emu or Llama but in that mindset' I'd consider Fallow Dear over Sheep or Goats for the purpose of building pasture for Cattle, again I don't pretend to know farming' I just relate' that he would get the added benefit of audience appreciation cause they run about, a-lot, and for Gina Shed their Rack, and like Chickens easier to Cull than bigger named farm animals from emotional standpoint !

What direction will the cattle enter? I don’t think you will have enough standing space. You may want a table to put stuff on while working the animals. See Cross Timbers Bison and watch them work their herd.
@4Classie3 сағат бұрын
The aim of Squeeze is Cattle go in' and to exit is where gate leads towards Shop, so by design an animal can be taken thru the Squeeze and with gate opened' led into' and up a trailers ramp, as a stress-free all-aboard, with that Corral Gate closed the animal just exits the Squeeze !

My brother-in-law just got his mini-ex working again and he fixed the driveway here because it needed a re-grade! I'm so glad you have your mini-ex! Brutus likes his ditch. The Kubota is sure handy for this job. I'm hoping you make the concrete pad at least a couple feet past each side of the cattle shoot. Great, you're building the forms.

Hey, if you take those puddles and you drain them out towards the side towards your other ditch, there's on that one part and then gravel them. It wouldn't make any difference every time you get watered in them.They'll still drain later, because it'll drain through the gravel
@4Classie3 сағат бұрын
Shoulda just added fill dirt and covered with gravel, finishing, he would have had to dump dirt, then ignore for hours, then compacted the dirt ( avoiding mud making ) then added gravel, because' the low spot is from ditch not being deep enough, 'in that area' and instead of digging entire ditch deeper he needed earth built-up to defeat water from pooling !

It's so easy to get high and low spots while pouring concrete, I think you should put at least a 1" drop on your slab pour so water will automatically drain off towards the pasture, that way, no chance to get frozen puddles of ice that a cow may have to walk into and have a chance of slipping and falling inside of the shute
