I am so very glad that I got to meet Kenny in person in Nashville Tenn. He was such a likeable person. He once rode in a limo that my daughter was driving in Las Vegas.. My daughter told him how much Iiked him and he phoned me to wish me well , as I had just had back surgery. Kenny we shall all miss you

I have been singing my heart out all over the United States since I was knee high to a grass hopper. I loved Dolly since I was 10 years old and my mother gave me a poster from an album she bought with a piece of straw hanging out of her mouth in a barn with Daisy duke shorts on (okay..so MAYBE it wast the MUSIC that got my attention) but as the years went on and life tossed me many curves...I grew to know and love the "HEART" of DOLLY and if you listen to her talk or sing..then you KNOW without a blink that Dolly is the REAL deal. Her spirit dwells within me daily. I just love her. I was framed last year in a Presidential assassination plot by a crazy politician from Tupelo, Ms named James Everette Dutschke. The Feds jumped the gun and arrested me falsely and held me without bond for a week telling me I would never see my children again. I thought, "IF/WHEN I get out of THIS...Surely, Dolly will call me and say "hey let's record a duet together and donate all the money to the WRONGFULLY ACCUSED" in this world" but no call yet. I am KC...I LOVE DOLLY and I approve this message

1907crazycactus There is nothing wrong with your English, that was a nice comment!! Kenny did a LOT of duets with Dolly as well as Dottie West. There are others like the one with Kim Carnes, "Don't fall in love with a dreamer", that is beautiful. That was in 1980. He and Sheena Easton sang "We've got tonight". His voice is so easy to listen to. #RIPGambler

His health started to decline around this time. He was forced to retire a few years later.
@survivrs3 жыл бұрын
@@suewalsh1883 Before he passed away, I watched a video of Dolly singing this TO Kenny as he sat on a stool, but until the camera zoomed in on Kenny, I didn't even think it was him. He was that unrecognizable. It couldn't have been long after that when he passed away. I wish I would never have seen that video. I still see his face from the '70's and '80's with that gorgeous full beard/mustache/hair and that smile. I think Ruby is the first song I remember hearing him sing, but it wasn't long before I was listening to more from when he was with the First Edition. I'm glad he went solo because you could really appreciate his raspy voice. When Lucille came out, I was in junior high school and when it came on the radio, all of us on the bus were singing along, and we were all singing "you picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel.....with four hundred children and a crop in the field". I doubt that it was one of the worst songs as far as not understanding the lyrics, but thinking back to the '70's, you only got lyrics if you bought the LP and the lyrics were on the inner sleeve.

Goosebumps!!!! My two fave singers...currently, when I was a kid, and growing up. I had the biggest crush on Kenny and slept with his record...yes RECORD, not USB, nor CD, nor Cassette tape..lol, under my pillow, and Dolly well ....can I say... "Musical Genius" with the most unique, beautiful voice I have ever heard. She can harmonize at the drop of a dime and make every performance look effortless, she sounds spectacular EVERY time she performs with whomever she performs with. She is and always has been my singing/music idol. They both have brought countless smiles to my face tears to my eyes whether happy or sad. Incredible talent, and they sound just as amazing as they did in 1985 as they do 30 years later. :) Keep on entertaining us for many years to come.. Cheers!
