Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Helped Blind Child Become Braille Literate

The Imagination library is amazing. I'm a single mom and after having my son the pediatrician suggested that I should sign up to receive free books up to the age of 5 for my son. He wasn't even a year old and was sent a new book EVERY single month. Month after month year after year until he reached 5. He received so many books. Miss Dolly Parton is an amazing woman!!!

So beautiful. I was in tears from the first second. I have 3 special needs boys. My oldest has autism, adhd, and an autoimmune condition called eosinophilic esophagitis. My middle has 22q Deletion Syndrome, Peters Anomaly, global developmental delays, and dwarfism. My youngest has sensory processing disorder, adhd, global developmental delays, and borderline autism. They all received Dolly books. So thankful for Kelly giving disabilities a platform and positive light on television. Merry Christmas, everyone!!

I grew up very poor and if I was lucky I got one book every year on my birthday. But at least half of those years we didn’t have money for even that and it hurt not having things to read. I loved to read and didn’t even have access to a library. So I absolutely love the imagination library. I wish some thing like this had been around when I was growing up because it would’ve made such an impact. That is exactly the type of work that I want to support. I absolutely love that Dolly does this. It just proves what an absolutely amazing, incredible, spectacular human being that she is. This is why I love her.

Man talk about almost coming to tears. I adore Dolly and all that she does. She donates so much to charity. I think it's because she was raised up poor and not having much growing up and when she became famous, which she worked very hard to do, she decided to give to those in need She is an angel in disguise who was brought down from heaven. Rosie knew Kelly and she had a plan getting Kelly to sing to her 1st. Dolly was a little off trying so hard to get Rosie to sing but Rosie was like nope, Kelly is singing to me. she was w singing after she got Kelly to sing. I have a cousin who is blind I love even if Dolly and Kelly where told before asked permission for a hug. It is a normal thing we do but most of us can see who and where someone is coming from. So asking and saying who they were before hand is a big deal.
