Dolly is a truly humble artist! The truth is, Whitney knocked her version of "I will always love you!", Out of the park! It was & remains a true work of art. In that one song, Whitney showed the world what she was capable of, when she set her mind & heart on any given song. Her peformance on this particular song, was not only memorable, she captured an awesome peformance, which we as the public, was blessed to hear & enjoy for all time! Gb both Dolly, for her songwriting, & Whitney for her awesome voice!!!

@taison5166 Жыл бұрын
With all due respect, Whitney [had] a very beautiful voice...[was] indeed a true songstress, as God Himself created. Yet, she is not a lead "in the choir in heaven" because she is not in heaven...she has gone back to the dust of the earth for now. That is, she's dead until the Day of Judgement. I'm only sharing the truth of the holy scriptures.
@doctorj6030 Жыл бұрын
@taison5166 Well we are theologically miles apart, because I refer to death as passing on, the soul goes forth & that is according to my interpretation of the Bible & my church. So sing your praises to God, Whitney, but you also have a valid belief that I will look into. We both believe in God & that is the main thing & we both love Whitney.

Those memories of love can take you to heaven. Thank you for loving me that much... Dolly's version brings the pain. You love them so much but you can't stay. Dollys respect & decency makes her more beautiful. Sadly Whitney didnt have the same respect. Whitney was one of my idles at the time, & I lost alot of admiration for her, hearing her brag on her singing the best version of that iconic song, was very disappointed. Ppl can be pretty, their attitude can add or take away from their outer appearance. I no longer saw Whitney as a beautiful powerhouse singer after that, just pretty lady singing. Dolly is a beautiful lady, her attitude & good soul makes her just that
@rosettajones1161 Жыл бұрын
That may not be altogether true in every sense of the Word about Whitney. Even if she said those words she was right that she did sing it the best. God graced her with a great gift that she shared with the world and I am thankful. It is not ideal to parallel these two women because they both are and were talented in that Dolly wrote the song and had no idea that Whitney would take it to a much higher level. And it is totally what she did singing it with emotions and depth! It was not a sad song but a more serious and meaningful song that was the very best because of Whitney's version.
