Thank you so much for this! Best RV fridge video I’ve seen petaling to RM 1350, which I have, which does not cool. I’ll be checking with you on the Sieko thermal bottom, and the Dinasoar thermistor adjuster. Hopefully, this will resolve my issues. I’ll try to bypass first in order to determine if cooling unit is good. Again, thank you for explaining these issues I’ve never even heard before.

Amazing what a little common sense coupled with a thorough understanding of the refrigeration cycle can do for our mobile refrigerators. Steve is the cooling whisperer.

Too bad Grand Design elected to move the fridge up 3 inches, on a platform. If they put it on the floor, the heat exchanger would be an inch or so below the side vent. Then. I wouldn't have needed to trash it and replace it with a house fridge.

I got the Dinosaur thermistor adjuster and it works great. I really appreciate the help because my refrigerator works perfectly now.

Great video! I'm a new owner of a two year old fifthwheel with a 1350 in it that started having issues a month after we bought it. Wish you were closer to me. I would drop it off.

Thank you sooo much for this video it was so needed. Question..my RM1350SLM must be an older model (2019 RV) the thermistor is located on the left side of the fins and just sticks straight of the back wall. Should I do any changes to it?
@shelburnerv Жыл бұрын
As long as it is in a white clip in the fins and not attached to the ceiling of the refrigerator section you should be good. Thanks for watching.

Where is the compressor motor located on this unit? How does it circulate?

This video was about ammonia absorption cooling units. What compressor are you talking about.

How hot should the absorber, coils, and boiler be? Using an infrared thermometer I want to check if mine are close in recommended operating range. I have not been able to find any spec on this. Mine measured approximately 125F. Is this too hot or not hot enough?

Swapped out my propane fridge years ago for a residential.
@TGfuel19872 жыл бұрын
Not everyone wants that option. If the fridge is in a slide, a residential fridge can cause all kinds of problems due to the excessive weight (floors falling out, slide rollers wearing out, stress cracks in the slide frame), also you lose the ability to keep your food cold if there are no electrical hookups.
