Recently, I reattended an English class after a significant break and during the discussion sessions, I was bothered by the fact that I had to kept repeating "I think" constantly as I seemed to have forgotten the replacements. I have never used "it goes without saying" since it can come off as being arrogant as if you are telling the person that everyone knows something but you do not.
