Don't Buy A Metal Building From This Company | Nothing But Issues!

Hey everyone, it's RollingOps back again! As you know, the dumpster business has been a rockstar lately, but things haven't been quite as smooth sailing on the real estate front. Call me a whinny baby, I can take it! The constant excuses and delays just get old!
We're branching out and investing in storage units, which is awesome! But our latest storage building project has hit a major snag. @Sunwardsteelbuildings7457 has caused me massive headaches. Turns out, the steel manufacturer we went with has been more trouble than they're worth. Delays, miscommunications, missing steel, miss labeled parts, the whole nine yards. It's enough to make a grown entrepreneur want to pull their hair out!
But hey, that's the nature of the beast sometimes, right? The good news is, the dumpster business and junk removal side of the business is still hauling, keeping our finances strong. Plus, we're pushing forward with our apartment remodel, even if it's taking a little longer than expected.
This might be a bit of a setback, but it's definitely a learning experience. We'll keep you updated on the progress, and hopefully, we'll have some good news about the storage unit situation soon.

Have definitely felt the "lack of care" that seems to be going around. Ever since 2019 it's felt off. You'll get through it! You always do!

i had the exact same issue with Cisco. 2 weeks before delivery date, it would push back 3 months! they took 23 months to deliver product that was promised 6 to 8 weeks. it was a supply chain disaster!! this was 2 years ago, now they are much better

Should have gotten a lawyer. Or at least have a lawyer write a letter of possible intent to sue for breach of contract and get enough settlement to pay the loan and have extra for dumpster business.

Okay that's not a steel mill that's a local distribution individual who orders it from the different steel mill's then has it delivered to their location and then has it delivered to you. I actually hold a delivery of i-beams up to Colorado and it got rejected because they didn't want it there until later. So I had to return it back to the other state I got it from and the shipper said that they were going to charge them a delivery fee along with a storage fee because they keep pushing the date back for when they want their product. your biggest issue is that these locations that you're ordering from get your product too soon and instead of keeping it in stockpiling it all in one place and checking that they have it all and then sending it to you in one big shipment they're doing it piecemeal at a time. Which means they're probably selling more than one building to more than one person at a time and trying to piecemeal it as soon as they get it they get it to you so that they can have more yard space to sell more product. Which is BS. They should get all the pieces from your order and once they have everything send it on a truck to you.

Put one up last fall for a guy. Everything was there but complete junk. Terrible blue prints. Self tapping screws trash. Wait till you get to the crap roof material. Good thing we bid the job high took twice as long dealing with complete trash material and design

with you having a dumpster business you should use deliverable storage containers like a pods type system but utilizing roll offs

@@kenpaige990 we sorta do that already with shipping containers. But we're trying to do permanent storage at the shop to improve land value as well. I could have 50 of the pods, but it doesn't improve the value of the land / equity

Here is a tip on steel buildings I have built a lot of them, you can spend your money on materials or labor, if your labour is cheap you can use material that is cheap and easy to work with, if your labour id expensive use bigger material so the job goes fast less labor, for example a 40x60 engineered steel building no welding just bolt and screws if all the materials are there and slab down can be put up in one day insulated all the metal

Dude, you should of bought a proper clean span red iron building. All those posts are wasting a ton of interior space and its all thin wall, press brake formed gauge steel. Yeah price per square foot is cheaper but the labor is higher. Once you put the money down, the ball is in their court and they dont have the incentive to deliver.

Since the plandemic its been absolute shit. Had 6 months delay on my tractor and like 2 months on my spa. Each time called weekly and eventually if they did not take the calls showed up in person. Getting them to set or say a date is hard now a days.

@@rollingops Carrying one box at a time to your dumpster come on, work smarter not harder. Hand cart or a dolly is 4 or 5 boxes per trip. Would you carry a fridge up a set of stairs with a buddy or use an appliance dolly and your buddy.
