I have eaten chicken I put in the freezer nearly a year ago and it's no different in taste. You can anyway smell immediately if chicken is old, it stinks so bad. That chicken is 100% trustworthy to eat unless it's been stored for years and got freezerburn or RT has a broken freezer.
