I just got back from a vacation visiting family up in Maine about a month or so ago. As a professional baker, the way he does butter is pretty standard at least in my family business

It made me wonder and realize the method in the U.S. is almost unique. In the U.S. butter is sold in sticks wrapped in wax paper which have markings indicating each tablespoon so it is extremely easy to get exactly how much you need, no fancy math or measuring device.

See i prefer using the markings when possible but when I can't I do something that's going to make someone kill me someday... I use water displacement to measure my butter, I fill a liquid measuring cup with cold water and keep adding the butter while watching the markings on the side until I've displaced enough water... It hasn't failed me yet but I will admit it's the act of a monster

Butter in the US comes in wrappers with little lines on for measuring. You literally just cut it while its wrapped to length and then unwrap the piece you're using. For cups, instead of tablespoons, you just do some conversion math.

Hey RT! This is unrelated, but if you haven’t already you should consider playing the second game of the Phoenix Wright series. I am a long time fan of the series and seeing you play the first game and actively integrate one of the characters as a channel meme was one of the biggest highlights of September for me. I think you would love the new rival prosecutor (I won’t spoil anything but she’s a very… different vibe from Edgeworth) and the new explored concepts in the cases. The second game really starts exploring some of the what if’s for the franchise in regard to Phoenix’s ideology and sets the groundwork for more involved overarching storylines (which really starts in the third game, which was by far my favorite). You also have some fun first-game characters return and some iconic new ones introduced. I think it would be fun to watch and play, although I am a big super fan so I’m pretty biased.
