Probably the most sincere motivational speeches I've heard in quite some time. I needed to hear something like this for most of my life. Wish I would've heard it decades ago. I've picked so many paths, but keep coming back to a central hub. Never really committed to one path to the end. Guess I've been afraid of getting stuck, but never realizing that coming back to the same location doesn't help you escape the cave.
@CalvinHikes4 жыл бұрын
That is high praise thank you very much. I often wonder if my speeches detract from the video but I will do stuff like this every once in a while. If it's something that you think about then you are probably a great person full of thought. That doesn't always lead to the most happiness but it will eventually lead to a fulfilling life.

I think your choices tend to be built on top of your values and perspective. As long as those remain intact then even if you know the potential missed outcomes resulting from your choices, there is generally comfort in knowing you made the best choice you could with the information you had. But if your values and perspectives change, all choices are then out of alignment, and the resulting life that you have built could appear to be a huge mistake. So i think the key is then to never change your perspective, unless your prepared to face the potential collapse of your entire reality. Great videos by the way. First you tube channel i have found myself binge watching.

I don't know why I keep watching these because I'm getting anxiously just watching this. I don't understand why anyone would want to do this for fun

Hey, if you make us some caving cookies, maybe with our label or logo, we'd give your cookie channel a shout if you wanted. You don't even need to send us the cookies but if you make a video that we could use that would be sufficient. Just for fun. If you want. My email is calvinsanders@comcast.net

This man is the enemy of claustrophobia
@CalvinHikes3 жыл бұрын
Claustrophobia is a government invention to keep you away from knowing how cool caves are.
@HaroldCollins-p5w Жыл бұрын
Sir, by you talking does it take your mind off the claustrophobia aspect, I got a panic attack once watching a show like This. My hats off to you.😮
@CalvinHikes Жыл бұрын
Maybe sometimes. I mostly talk because it's seems to be helpful with the video. If I get in a really stressful situation I stop talking. But that's rare. Most of this is more anti-anxiety than it is anxiety

Pause at 11.27 and the three tunnels make a skull wtf. Did you overlay this pic in dude 💀
@CalvinHikes3 жыл бұрын
Yes. That is the skull room, as 8t looks like a human skull and I overlaid a real one on top for a moment. Good catch.

I know you always get out but it’s still scary seeing you lost down there with several passages to choose and the great distances you go through those tight squeeze passages , this would drive a normal person crazy with fear being in that situation , always relieved to see you get out .
@CalvinHikes2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's still scary but a normal person wouldn't just walk into a situation like this. It's taken us a long time to develop the necessary courage and skills to do this and have fun.

Don't know if anyone caught it but at 11:18 and until the next shot, when the light goes dim, you can see a skull.
