I love mine. I have been using it since it came out. Every shoot I have it with me.

Love this idea. I use a Jobi but always annoyed how short it is on my bench.

Very cool, have you had a chance to use with bigger DSLR camera? If so still perform well with extra weight?

Remember seeing a video on this from Peter McKinnon. Honestly think your review is better. Got a much better idea of it's uses and flaws.

Great Review! I too own the Switchpod. I also purchased the Switchpod ball head which is very nice, but adds to the cost of an already overpriced device. Here's a worthy alternative to the Switchpod: the Oben 300 mini-tripod. LIKE the Switchpod, the Oben is sturdy, metal construction. However, the Oben is more affordable than the Switchpod, AND it includes a ball head. Even more significant for me, the Oben telescopes from 9 1/2" to over 17". Thought you might want to consider this as a different option. I actually use both.

I had a gorilla pod knock off that I hated. Loc-line is definitely not made to hold a DSLR. Worked great for holding a GoPro to a tree though. I think the SwitchPod is over priced. I've considered 3d printing something similar and maybe making a mold to cast it in resin. Just haven't had time to work on it.

Pretty slick. But at $99, it too far out of my price range. Wonder if I can make one out of plywood or have it 3D printed. 🤔

Regarding the guy who built and launched the rocket - I sense he's going to give Elon Musk a run for his money! #MarsOrBust Dave., the Switchpod thangy looks kewl enough. I'm thinking a guy smarter than me (namely you - hint-hint) should be able to hack this and put a ball head on it. OR maybe even dream up a DIY version of the whole gizmo for cheap. But that's just me thinking out loud. In text.
