The powders I personally like using (among others) are freeze-dried wild blueberry powder by the LOOV company, freeze-dried acai powder, Spirulina Pacifica and Green Magma by Green Foods. I switch up my spirulina for astaxanthin in the spring and summer, as this is something my dermatologist recommended a long time ago to get skin prepared for the sun exposure. I always try to use powders with single ingredients and freeze-dried if possible. At least you know then that you are getting the required amount of the product into your system and can see if it is working or not.This also allows you to mix and match more easily depending on your health needs, time of the month, and the season. :)

Regarding the Prop 65 warning for California residents, California has a rule called the prop 65 warning which requires all businesses to provide labeling if their product contains certain chemicals that could cause cancer, birth defects or reproductive harm…even in small amounts that could lead to these health issues over an extended period of time with continued usage. It is the strictest in the nation and if you want to sell your product here and your product has any ingredient(s) that meet the above criteria, that warning has to be on your product. Turns out so many of our products (including furnishings, clothing, products used in printing, air conditioning, refrigeration, etc) have some or many of these ingredients that you can’t even enter buildings, including grocery stores here, without this warning greeting you at the front door. There are those who consider it a nuisance law as it is nearly everywhere but I think its purpose mostly was to discharge the government of any liability should some significant link be found later down the road. It has created a greater awareness of the chemical soup we live in with some saying they are grateful and others saying it just creates further anxiety.

I've tried Dr. Schultz Superfood powder several times. Like Dr Aujla said, it's as raw as you can get. That's what I appreciate with Dr. Schultz product is they don't add anything else.

Thank you for the review. I have Green Vibrance in the freezer and use it roughly 3 times a week, generally on days that I feel lacking in my usual range of veg. I make a shake in the blender with Kefir, banana, blueberries, Avocado, protein powder and creatine and it tastes good.
@Danny-mg1hu6 ай бұрын
why bother with Green Vibrance? you cannot know what you are getting and it wont replace the real veggies. its not organic, not freeze dry, etc.
@nickaskham30556 ай бұрын
@@Danny-mg1hu Hi Danny. I dont use it to replace real veggies. I use it on busy days where I havent eaten enough veggies. The Dr did not say that green powders are a waste of money, do not work or advise against them. He highlighted ideally what specifications he would like to see and unfortunatly none of them were freeze dried or fully organic. He didnt say dont use them because of this unless i missed something.

I do the wheatgrass juice several times a week for about 2 or 3 weeks and then I stop. I was using organifi... I do this because wheatgrass helps with increasing your RBC blood cells as well as platelets and it also helps in alleviating h pylori and candida... Which reduces your RBC and platelets as well as eats away at your bone Mass... Since Just entered menopause, the bone mask can go down considerably...

Dr Rupy, thanks for taking one for the team! I don’t use green powders myself, but the information is always useful. I love your reaction to some of them. It made me smile 😊

So fantastic info. I was always skeptical of Athletic Greens. because I do not understand why humans should eat wheat grass. We are not ruminants.

loved this video. I'm in Canada and the most popular with those I know is Geniune Health's Greens+ and Bloom. I've tried the Greens+ and AG with the latter being the least obnoxious tasting, aka mildly vegetal. my friend called Greens+ as Gross+

Curious for your take on PEScience Greens & Superfoods and their Reds & Blues offering. These are the two greens/fruits supplements I use and like. freeze-drying and third party testing and somewhat minimal ingredients.

I would love to see a similar review on protein powders as they are popular. Some have even been developed by doctors e.g. Get Hlth. Also some are more natural e.g. Puriton

I have been taking a product called Barley Life. It is organically grown and juiced on site of harvest and then spray dried. The ingredients are Juice powder of young barley plants (Hordeum vulgare), brown rice oligodextrin (Oryza sativa), hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, kelp (Laminaria digitata), stearic acid, silicon dioxide. Is this an ultra processed product? It is hard to choose from the large number of green powders on the market!
@Danny-mg1hu6 ай бұрын
that thing is no different the others. the product doesnt show how much you are getting and the dose is 4grams which is LOW and not enough for each ingredient. also that sucker is expensive.
