Fair to say the zany sci-fi show, Red Dwarf, predicted smart appliances. They've leaned into it more in series from recent years, though, such as when the vending machines discover they're not part of the ship's evacuation plans and they stage a political coup. 😂

This is hilarious. I do flow charts in my head now, after using them for so many things after I was trained on them. Thought process maps as well. I can so relate to the complications that come along with a certain age. I've got the controls and the SOP's down, but the noise seems to be growing by the day and taking over the controls and the SOP's. SOS!

I'm a master engineer in mechanics and evolved into mechatronics. You would think I have all the gadgets? Wrong! I work on a need based philosophy. Yes, I got much tech in my workplace. But only what I need to do my job. I UNDERSTAND technology. So in my leasure time I'm the least technological compared to my friends. Why? Because I ask why and contemplate whenever there is a new gadget in town. OK, I have a smart phome. But I don't need the fanciest one unless it's required at work (which it never is). They sell these new gadgets or toys (which should be more accurate) all the time. If you are in on that wagon you can never be satisfied because there is always a new model or a new gadget you 'need'.

As a teenager I just wanted to be left alone. I wanted to do my homework as quickly as I could, assignments completed a week or two ahead of time. Then I could read read read! Until the internet came along in 1995, then I could look at horse racing pedigrees for hours, then go back to reading lol Parents interfered by saying go outside and play. Roller skate, ride bike, swing, then back to reading. Ahhhh.... the less complicated times.....

You almost had it there by adding the dog to the flowchart. You just messed up the interconnects a bit. It should go: Dog? n->unhappy, y->happy. It's that simple. They truly are amazing. Dogs should be on blue prescriptions, which cuts out a lot of fuzz as you can put the allergy meds on the same one and you're covered.

As an INTJ, I should make a Happiness Flowchart, seriously. But I unironically would slack off on it because (1) It forces me to engage with the Social Underlying Values of my Existence as a Human which then would make me ponder about other humans and their values and (2) I will likely reach a conclusion like himself anyways... so inevitably, should I bother? LMAO But (3) Maybe if I can get between 60 - 80% of the Happiness Flowchart of my own overall desires then maybe things aren't as bad as I thought? But what if they are? (4) I should probably do something more important than this.
