Donovan Mitchell & The Cleveland Cavaliers Have Everyone Fooled.. | Cavs NBA News (Darius Garland)

The Cleveland Cavaliers arguably made the most noise out of any team over the course of the 2022 NBA Offseason after acquiring Donovan Mitchell via trade to pair up with Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, & Jarrett Allen. And as the season has begun, while the Cavs offense has looked amazing with the seamless fit of Spida, there’s something about how they’re playing that many did not expect to see.
With the injury of Darius Garland opening night, this has forced Donovan Mitchell to be the main facilitator and playmaker for the Cavaliers the majority of the time. And while he has never truly taken on this full role in his career, he looks like he will be able to provide very similar duties to what Darius Garland does for the Cavs at separate times for the offense. And again, with a starting five of these two in the backcourt, Caris Levert, Evan Mobley, & Jarrett Allen, the creativity seems endless.
And then, the Cavaliers bench is also not something to underestimate. With Kevin Love, Cedi Osman, Robin Lopez, Dean Wade, Ricky Rubio soon returning, Raul Neto, etc, this team all-around could very well be one of the deepest in the league if they stay healthy. And with the Cavs defense being top tier as well, they’re built to last on both sides of the ball.
This video includes 2022 Cleveland Cavaliers highlights, also including topics like Cleveland cavaliers 2022, cavs highlights, cavs vs magic, cavs vs celtics, donovan mitchell cavs highlights, darius garland injury news, cleveland cavs news today, cavs news and rumors, cavaliers highlights, evan mobley cavs highlights, cavs defense, cedi osman highlights, donovan mitchell interview, cavs live, cavs practice, jarrett allen cavs, caris levert cavs, donovan mitchell trade, cavs magic, etc, which I do not own ANY of the rights to whatsoever, as these are intended to be used under the guidelines of fair use through KZbin.
Also, give me ideas for other NBA videos, news, and discussions I should cover in the future. I read ALL comments.
Thank you so much for the support guys.

Just a heads up, Cedi Osman is pronounced “Chedi Ozman”! Also, he was highly efficient playing with Rubio while he was healthy (I want to say 39% from deep on good volume off the top of my head). 100% we already knew this but Spida can just take over games and win them. But once Garland comes back he's not going to have to do that. Another nice compliment I've noticed is that Mitchell seems to like to drive and kick to the wings. Garland works really well with the bigs. So we have two elite guys to initiate the offense and each has their strengths and they go together nicely. I'm pumped for this squad they're legit

Cavs are significantly better, and deeper, than the Pels. Cavs already have a complete roster, all they need is another season or two for guys like Garland/Okoro/Mobley to reach their peak play. Pels have the studs needed in Ingram/Zion/CJ, but completely lack depth.

Watching this was like drinking a six pack of Four Locos; I'm a Cavs fan that just became even more stoked than I already am!!! So many Cavs losses last year were between 5-12 points; adding Mitchell now turns those close Cavs losses into comfortable Cavs wins. Kobe Altman didn't just kinda open a playoff window, he smashed a hole in the wall where the window once was! If Rubio makes it back (rehab is tough), the second unit, with either Garland or Mitchell on the floor is a additional starting lineup. LOVING the journey!!!

I've been saying it since the Donovan Mitchell trade... All the cavaliers truly needed, after last season, was a superstar. Usually this is a hard decision because you have to give something up in order to get a superstar... and even then it's pretty rare. Especially the arguable top 10 players. (yes, Mitchell is one of them) Mitchell is still young and yet he's battle tested. He's listed at the 2 but can distribute like a prototypical point guard. Offense flowed through him in Salt Lake... it's a high IQ back-court now!!! This video spoke about Rubio's return... how he would be a 3rd facilitator, and it's just proof of how deep this team is. Because Cedi's a facilitator... Love makes nice passes.. Lavert is a better floor general than the surface level would suggest... There is an all around good level of court vision even before Donovan Mitchell got to Cleveland. This season will be a good one for them!!

The dark horse off the bench for the Cavs this season isn't Cedi just because he's showing up. I'm looking at *Robin Lopez* he's like a fundamentally disciplined *Anderson "Wild Thing" Varejao.* I noticed that JA and EM were getting bodied under the hoop by other teams bigs these first couple of games. Lopez nullifies that with his solid play it's not pretty, but it does the job. He doesn't have to put up double digit ppg, rebs, ast, stls, blks I wouldn't mind see him go 7pts 11rebs 4ast and 2.5 blks and the Cavs win than Drew Gooden's numbers and lose.

to be fair, they're five games into the season. They've faced three above .500 teams from last year (Celtics, Raptors, Bulls) and their win against the Celtics - a game which went into over time and was quite close up until some bad shot selections from Tatum. I'm impressed with the difference Donovan Mitchell has made for the team, but both him and LeVert had to drop 41 to make it happen. That might be a thing Donovan can do on any given night, but it most certainly isn't LeVert's game, especially not that 3pt performance. Also, Mitchell is a notorious choke in the playoffs. He has the ability to get them to the playoffs, he did it with the Jazz for four seasons. I just don't see them getting past the second round as they currently are.

It is completely insane that so many people said the cavs would be a 6-9 seed. The Cavs were at the top of the East almost all year until we had more injuries than any other team after the all star break, we then gave up nothing important to get a perennial all star and people said we are an 8 seed. Idiots

Without Garland the Cavs current starting 5 of Mitchell, LeVert, Allen, Mobley, and Wade is a wise decision. Dean Wade is doing what Lauri gave them last season.

I hated watching Mitchell and the Jazz over the past few seasons, mostly for the reasons mentioned early in this video. So, as a lifelong Cavs fan, I was a bit aprehensive about this move. But man, were my expectations quickly and completely anihilated watching him play in the Wine and Gold. I haven't been this excited about Cavs hoops since LBJ crushed the Pistons in the ECF back in 2007.

When Rubio and Garland return and the point guard position gets stabilized the CAVS team scoring avg will bounce up to better than 120ppg. and lead the league. There is not a defense in the league that can keep up. Wore out Boston down the stretch - their shooters looked lost having to play both ends of the court.

The play in is the same pressure and they played two postseason games last year. Teams don’t have to “cut their teeth”, they’re ready when they’re ready. Cavs went from a last place finish in 2014 to a Finals appearance in 2015. Granted Lebron has postseason experience but nobody else on that team really did. When they’re ready they will win, and nobody else in the East looks like a juggernaut

I think the defense between mitchell and garland when they are on the floor together could at times be an issue, but i dont think it will be an overall issue when it comes to actually winning games. since their offensive output will be insane together and they’re minutes will be scattered around where only one is on the court at once which will help mitigate the lack of defense at the 1 and 2 spots. (Side note: its only been 4 games but from what we’ve seen so far Donovan Mitchell is already playing better defense than he ever did on the Jazz)
@inandoutoftheabyss9953
@inandoutoftheabyss9953 Жыл бұрын
im guessing you dont watch many cavs games. Garland is a better defender than Sexton. Did you think Sexton was an issue defensively? HE wasnt. Garland holds his own and is a smart defender. Mitchell has been GREAT so far defensively this year. I am willing to bet you the Cavs wont have a defensive issue in their backcourt.

Cleveland is the biggest team in the NBA. Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley, David Love and Robin Lopez all 6'11" or taller. David Love per/36 is averaging 15/15 (Shooting 37% from 3pt) Jarrett Allen per/36 is averaging 15/13 Evan Mobley per/36 is averaging 16/5 Robin Lopez per/36 is averaging 21/11 Good luck little teams matching up with this nightmare! Clevland also has 2 wings that are 6'7" Cedi Osman and Levert. No Wonder Donavan Mitchell has so many Assists hell I'm surprised he doesn't average more than 7.
