I just realized that we are being pushed to incorporate new technology even in smaller ways. Apparently in order for me to park downtown for once a week reporting(new technology since lockdown) I have to set up an online account. Then from what I just read online the first time I enter parking lot I scan a QR code. Then it will recognize my car or my cell thereafter?? It sounds once set up easy but I hate being constantly forced. Input credit card info. Another thing to keep tabs on my little money. Anxiety. I'm 60. Goal debt free in 8 to 10 months. Need to retire. 40 years of working is enough. Looking for affordable housing or stay where I am and be super frugal.

I retired at 62. I rent an apartment and live on social security. It can be done! Once we get to this age, we don't really need that much. My advice is to be debt free and stocked up on neccecties when you retire and you will be fine. Good luck!

OK LET'S SEPARATE FACT FROM FICTION. AI aka ROBOTS are all computers. Just like most of the modern cars we drive today, they all have Electronic Control Units. Literally 70% of almost everything in your home has a chip or is run by a computer or are monitored and controlled via the internet and on the other end is a computer. So please let's stop acting as if though these robots created themselves and were not created by man. People used to freak out when computers started, microwaves and cell phones. Change is inevitable. Every machine needs a human to create it, monitor it and fix it or program it. So jobs won't be lost. Guess what is also controlled by a chip and computers? THAT GREAT BIG RED BUTTON we all fear.

I can't stand by and read comments like this. To imply that robots have a connection with "the beast" is so early 1900s to me. I'm even more upset that it's even being suggested by intelligent women of the late 21st Century where everything in our lives and homes is run by a chip, a computer or a robot (whether it looks human or not). I didn't see anyone stirring this much controversy when robots started assisting in surgeries. Yet here we are years later and still using MAN -MADE machines. Everything in this world is subject to human error but it does not mean that we stop progressing because we are scared. As preppers we are not supposed to fear. The idea that AI is more practical than we are comes from the concept that it doesn't (at all) operate under the same parameters that we, as living "animals" people etc., automatically must. The explosion of machine learning that came about from us saying "the natural processes God created are the only ways we're ever going to encode something that can operate on its own... we're obviously not capable of teaching it." (I spent a LONG time in the early 2000s working with the earliest iterations of chat bots in hopes of creating an assistant that could even help with people who have chronic illness like my own) Essentially, AI as we know it right now is literally an innocent slate. It does not have even a teachable ability to see the world the way we do. Because of that, it is always going to be a system that perpetuates whatever it was taught based on even more parameters, none of which are relatable (if remotely still comparable) to the way life does. Also because of that... it is a tool. A tool that may one day very quickly evolve out of our ability to use it, but still a tool. Meaning ultimately, it's not AI itself we need to fear but the evils self can perpetuate on others. As tools, AI will be used and ABused to bring about both sympathetic help and dispassionate selfishness onto the rest of our fellow man. Can the Devil, the epitome of Self possibly ever manipulate that against us? OF COURSE. Something that offends many of my Christian brethren is the fact that Satan quoted Scripture "at" Christ during His fasting and temptations. Christ of course refuted this, also with Scripture... but what we must take away from these events is the only holiness comes from love, and the self-identity that Christ and God have is nothing like the selfishness of sin that we as fallen and "sons of devils" have. All of creation in this state are tools, used and ABused. ...babbling, sorry. I'm very tired today. But AI is not a new or more fearful adversary, but another tool that can be used in the Adversary's arsenal, as well as a tool for good by people who genuinely love. I think it's rather plain that AI is but a tool... it's certainly not compassionate, nor dispassionate. It's literally a tool, a very advanced and self-actuating tool... but a tool. ...it's extremely important to understand that *EVERYTHING* we do is enhanced and manipulated by US as TOOLS. And "us" means not just you and me, but also all beings of self. I personally don't think AI is a being not created by God, nor do I think it's a being created by the Adversary... but I do believe it's a tool that can indeed be used against us. As a Christian, I advise great humility and caution when we approach anything, interpreting everything through (as Christ did) the lens of Love. The Adversary WILL use ANYTHING against us, even Scripture, but one thing he absolutely cannot touch is Love, as it is opposite to the core of what he is. He can pretend, he can lie, but he cannot personify love. I love you all very much, and I genuinely do pray the Lord have mercy on us. Don't let the enormity of the time we live in, and the... uniqueness of it (not since like the time of Noah...) frighten and give you trepidation. You *KNOW* what Love is, Who Love is. We're going to have to hold very tightly to that, but we're promised we'll never be let go of His accord. Be wise, through thought and prayer, and be hopeful, knowing surely the example that is Christ Jesus in your heart as we step. Everything is either Love or Self. The visible, apparent overlap comes only from glancing, at a distance. Self cannot bear scrutiny. Keep doing what you do, Sunshine. God help us all.

Personally I don't think we genuinely can make "artificial intelligence," but I do think we could make amalgamations that sufficiently interpret their environments towards a goal. That's also currently the definition for "AI." We remove ourselves so much from everything that does exist when we embrace self, and we also become so much more than ourselves when we embrace God's love. The individual that was isolated by his own wickedness instead becomes a true and sympathetic being, truly part of creation, "cup overflowing" with the wellspring of life. Last year PEMEX, the national oil company of Mexico became sole owner of your refinery in Deer Park, TX. What? You thought club fed was gonna wall them off? My point is all We The People have is each other, Faith & Hope and as much as it pains me to say it, we set here four decades ago while God was bludgeoned to death and hauled out the back door of every federal bldg, drug out into the alley and tossed into the dumpster to rot right alongside planned parent hood's fetuses. @@_Amy I'm pretty sure you are talking about FaceApp, because it was all over the news due to some rumors. Many software developers and hackers looked into what it was doing, sending, storing and all of that and the rumors were debunked. It was wild claims being made without evidence. I suppose there could have been some other software that did this and I will try to find any news articles about a popular age progression app turning out to be part of some plot to gather data for fake human images. I somewhat hope there is one since I have been paying for my artificially generated faces/bodies for about 2 years now and I must be missing out on some cheaper alternative.

Yeah those things are really scary! Thankfully I've never played with one. And yes, the image of the beast will be caused to speak...like you said, that could be caused by AI. But I'll say again what I had commented here to another person...we are looking for the AC and expect him to be human right? But who's to say that AI doesn't figure out a way to put themselves into a human clone and take a physical body? Elon Musk's Neuralink could be the thing that puts AI's "consciousness" into an actual body. (A lab-made body with no soul)

I feel like (for lack of words) this is life. They know no different. My computer class in 8th grade was a black screen with green letters. I'm lost with technology. Do some research on the inconsistencies in carbon dating. Scientists found a boot buried down deep in the earth that was stamped 1900 on the sole, and carbon dating placed it at hundreds of thousands of years old. You can choose to believe all science if you want, it is a religion as well.

Owning a grocery store, camping store, firearm store or a facility that sells prepping gear is an excellent idea. Not only do you profit and rotate stock continually, you still have it if SHTF. He is big time about selling, but I think that's because his whole life is basically wrapped up in prepping since it's his income and hobby.

I just don't care for his channel. I prefer smaller more relaxed something I can relate to channels. Even if I can't, I can learn gardening tricks on farm channels or find people do use things I figured out myself already. Been using grow bags for at least 10 years and other things for 30. Raise quail and find info not in books. Chicken info helps me too. Almost the same exact things to do. Learning about rabbits. Still building up the yard and haven't got that far and if I move, it all is lost to me. Raised beds and fruit. I'd rather we fight back than run all over like chickens. Everyone running leaves less to fight back against the gooberment.
