Also, no point in making a ton of power if you can’t put it to the ground properly. If you have to cut back the power way before a turn because your suspension is shit and body roll kills you, then no point in having a moment of a little power on a straight. Most track races are lost in the turns, not in the straights..hence why the Lotus Exige is such a wicked capable track car.

Pro tip: with SOME original bushings you can stiffen them up by squeezing in rubber fuel hose into the gaps within the bushing. Kind of a halfway step instead of going with poly. This usually works on motor mounts and diff mounts.
@MrTheHillfolk Жыл бұрын
3/4 step is a sand/epoxy mix. Worked great in some (already) heavy duty rubber motor mounts that were still a touch soft, causing shifting issues, but poly rattled your teeth out.

Small media groups generally have the freedom to appeal to a much smaller audience and one they have cultivated and are already fans. Big companies have to appeal to a much broader audience. I’m sure if this ad were to play on cable tv people who weren’t donut fans might not like it as much
@KasumiRINA2 жыл бұрын
@@adamozmin8970 Eh, companies learned that targeting broad demographics is generally a fail, hence why even on KZbin, most of money is in targeted advertisement... there's little point advertising used Lamborghini dealership on a cooking channel, so when I watch those I get annoying menstrual pads ads instead lmao. Also, companies DO try to do ads in this quirky style, but they end up with "fellow kids" syndrome (except for Old Spice or Axe ads, those were ridiculous in a good way) so generally, it's reserved for brands "casual" social media pages.

I can confirm that the best thing I've done to my Z32 that I'm fixing up is replacing all the worn bushings with poly ones. Dropping a subframe for the first time is absolutely nerve wracking though

I remember back in the 1980s when urethane parts started to get popular they wouldn't last as long as stock rubber parts. The urethane parts worked better at first, but after 5 years they would disintegrate. I hope they improved the compound after 40 years.

I have a polyurethane torque mount in my 2004 Mazda 6s and that is much better than the original rubber. I have been through three torque mounts and the car I have had for 16 years is meant for outstanding driving excitement, steering feel, brake feel,, and handling. I do a lot of cornering when I drive because that is where driving provides excitement, but that took a toll on why my torque mounts wore out too fast. However with the polyurethane one, it lasted much longer and the handling has improved more without feeling the engine wobbling. I hope car manufacturers will start to make bushings with polyurethane a new standard. I did feel mild vibration after the mechanic installed my new torque mount, but the vibration has been gone in less than a week.
