Missed a couple things... 24 Valve head came out in 1998.5, not 2003 11:23. Common rail came out in 2003. Would have loved to hear more about Ford having stock in Cummins and using them up to a few years ago in the 550 and 650. Cummins was just about bankrupt in the late 80's and Dodge truck sales made up about 5% of the truck market until the got together. Cummins was able to buy back all their shares from Ford shortly after. If Ford would have been on top of that deal, Dodge wouldn't be making trucks and all Fords would have a Cummins, making pretty well the perfect truck..... So close

We get nutty when it comes to engine displacement. It’s one of the major cultural differences we have that the rest of the world may not fully understand unless they’ve experienced it themselves. Well, he said that in the 80’s Ford and GM both had Diesel engine options and Dodge did not, that is False. My uncle has a late 70’s 1/2 ton Dodge with some kind of a 6cyl Nissan or Mazda Diesel engine I think, it was a factory option. He also said that they went to a 24 valve head in ‘03, when we all know that It was in 1998.
