As a 62 year old musician,it gives me a smile to see in these videos of the old rockers still performing- I HATE the term "classic rock"- that,no matter who the band is,there are always teenagers,or even younger,in the crowd,loving the music.Good taste transcends age.
@laoluu

What do you think is wrong with the term "classic rock"? I think it just describes a certain style or genre of - BTW - great music. I have a collection of about 300 CDs of Classic Rock, and I love them all!

Absolutely, Andrew...this music has such positive power, I’m realizing now at age 60. For a few years now, since we’re able to find and listen to pretty much any of the favorite music that has meant so much to us over the years anytime we want, I listen to music again, now, mostly at night. And this band’s music is what I listen to most often, especially The Captain and Me; I love the original era of the band the best. I realize now the amazing power music has for so many good things. It has, in effect, help save me!

Although not a big country, having lived in Dallas for 8 years in the late '70s I discovered some of Clint Blacks music. A song of Clint's that echos your sentiment about time travel is State of Mind. Very much worth a listen.. Ain't it funny how a melody can bring back a memory Take you to another place in time Completely change your state of mind It can make a right from a wrong, it can make you fall in love It can get you singin' along Chase the clouds away and make the sun shine above

Bought my first DB album, The Captain and Me. Played it on a tube amplifier in the basement at home, played it on cassette in my 72 Firebird with those Jensen speakers with the hugh magnets. Sounded great then. Now, I have a pretty capable system. I can hear so much more detail, and they have added so much more music to the songs, and they have always been great. It is like it is brand new again. Blown away!!!

First 8 track I bought was the Doobies! I've been listening since they came out, never gets old! I'll be glad when we can all enjoy a concert again and the mask are history! Looks so good to see a crowd without mask!

My first 8 track as well...bought a GE ghettoblaster, The Eagles Hotel California 8 track and the Doobie Brothers all in one shot...being very naive I was in my late 40s before I clued in to the reference to "Doobie" Brothers ...what a maroon!! 🤪

I'm 52 yrs old now...I absolutely love seeing fans my age & older singing this song, swaying with the music, eyes closed, & just lost in a time & memory that was long ago...if they're anything like me, they're not far from SWEET TEARS OF YESTERDAY!!! I am so glad that I got to grow up in the 70s & 80s & experience ALL THE GREAT GREAT MUSIC!!! I put The Doobie Brothers on the top shelf with Supertramp, Meatloaf, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Foreigner, Cheap Trick, & Styx...just to name a few!!! I have always said 1976-1984 was the best years of MUSIC in my opinion. Much love from Mobile Alabama.

The Doobie Brothers are not just a good old band, but seriously great musicians who work hard at their craft to keep the music alive.

I have never seen the point of having two drummers, a drummer and a percussionist is a lot more logical. DB always such a great band.
