As a 62 year old musician,it gives me a smile to see in these videos of the old rockers still performing- I HATE the term "classic rock"- that,no matter who the band is,there are always teenagers,or even younger,in the crowd,loving the music.Good taste transcends age.

Nothing wrong with the term Classic Rock. THis describes rock music at it's best. That era of great rock music is gone. Nothing out there today compares to that music. It was simple, described great times, and usually had a message that most could relate to.

I was at the Paramount in Seattle WA In January of 1973 and watched these two founders of the Doobie Brothers play this song, with the band at the time.I was with my two friends and neighbors we had a blast at that concert. Now over 50 years later I see this on KZbin and it brings back memories and blows me away. Thank you to the Doobie Brothers ❤.

MTV unplugged is also real music. Only acoustic instruments. Listen to MTV unplugged Eric Clapton from 1992. This is the only real MTV unplugged concert. No pickups, only microphones.

Absolutely, Andrew...this music has such positive power, I’m realizing now at age 60. For a few years now, since we’re able to find and listen to pretty much any of the favorite music that has meant so much to us over the years anytime we want, I listen to music again, now, mostly at night. And this band’s music is what I listen to most often, especially The Captain and Me; I love the original era of the band the best. I realize now the amazing power music has for so many good things. It has, in effect, help save me!

I absolutely love love them, all of them! I do miss the vocalist that was with them in the 80s. They all look like they’re still having a great time and so am I at 65. I listen to them quite often and still love them as much as I did in the 70s in Santa Barbara! Saw them with Michael McDonald two months ago 50th anniversary Las Vegas and they were still totally awesome!✌️🤩👍

Although not a big country, having lived in Dallas for 8 years in the late '70s I discovered some of Clint Blacks music. A song of Clint's that echos your sentiment about time travel is State of Mind. Very much worth a listen.. I grew up in the S.F. Bay area during the 70,s I grew up with the Doobie Brothers. and have saw them live at least 20 times with everyone of the musicians past & present. There music rocks & you just have a constant smile on your face. I listen to there music all the time & just saw them at a private party at the Coeur d' Alene Resort in N. Idaho Your music will live on for ever. Thank all of you for the fun I have at all your venues. They rocked in the early days of Day on the Greens in the Oakland Coliseum. Bought my first DB album, The Captain and Me. Played it on a tube amplifier in the basement at home, played it on cassette in my 72 Firebird with those Jensen speakers with the hugh magnets. Sounded great then. Now, I have a pretty capable system. I can hear so much more detail, and they have added so much more music to the songs, and they have always been great. It is like it is brand new again. Blown away!!!

I'm 52 yrs old now...I absolutely love seeing fans my age & older singing this song, swaying with the music, eyes closed, & just lost in a time & memory that was long ago...if they're anything like me, they're not far from SWEET TEARS OF YESTERDAY!!! I am so glad that I got to grow up in the 70s & 80s & experience ALL THE GREAT GREAT MUSIC!!! I put The Doobie Brothers on the top shelf with Supertramp, Meatloaf, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Foreigner, Cheap Trick, & Styx...just to name a few!!! I have always said 1976-1984 was the best years of MUSIC in my opinion. Much love from Mobile Alabama.
