Hello hello! I have a flight suggestion: Vancouver to Toronto, or somewhere in the east. By the way, love your a320 (and now 737) tutorials! There explain everything clearly and make sure we not just know "push this button", but actually know what they do and "how to fly" the plane. Love it --Alex

Hey Alex, I'll be starting to look at flight suggestions soon when I start live streaming again which should be in a few weeks time but what I'll do is make an announcement video and plan the whole thing because I suspect that I'll get quite a few suggestions. Also, I'm glad that my tutorials go beyond just pushing buttons, it's taken a long time to learn this aircraft and plan my videos in a way which transfers that knowledge to the viewer so I'm glad to hear that it's working :) If you know anyone else who'd benefit from watching them, feel free to share and link to this video around the Internet! Cheers, Doof

I'll be looking at some specific things after the procedure guides but it might be a few weeks until they're done. Not fully decided on what to do but I might cover some different approaches.

The bonus beauty of all this, as I've found out myself, is studying all this on the big airliners makes it almost easy to then go BACK to something like the Learjet or Phenom 100s, and fly those, they almost start seeming like just driving your car, in comparison to the 737 or Airbus's complexity! None of this study of these systems is wasted, even on smaller private jets. The only thing I miss on the small jets is usually that say, the Phenom 100 lacks autobrakes, spoilers, and reverse thrust.

Fantastic teaching ,watching your videos and follow step by step on the other screen, I am curious about the small screen on the left for the procedure list,how do you do it?
@Doofer9116 жыл бұрын
It's just a graphics overlay that was added in with a video editor to show a text representation of the procedure guide. As I mention in the video, you can find the same thing in the FCOM 1 manual on the relevant page.

Good aftrnoon Doofer911...another great and inductive video ,....they have all, up to this one, given me a great knowledge and Im practicing along with you at the same time of your explanation..pausing every now and them....as a piece of information in SIMVIATION you have an app called GROUNDHANDLING that can be installed into the PMDG without pus and helps A LOT during the taki. Will not work as pushback because you have this function in the CDU. In default planes for FSX it can also be helpfull..This way you can concentrate in other items... NOW TO LEARN TO TAKE OFF, CRUISE, APP AND LAND...piece of cake.....thank you very much....Still wondering what is the app you use as checklist...ITS GREAT...

This 737 is an add-on aircraft made by a company called PMDG. If you do a google search, you'll find their website straight away.

Hi Doofer, just a little thing I noticed that when you started engine 1 you didn't flick the ignition switch to the left engine. Apart from that a really good video as always..
@Doofer9115 жыл бұрын
My interpretation of the Normal Procedures is that the Ignition Switch is changed earlier on in the Pre-Flight Procedure, before we get to the Engine Start part of proceedings. I talk about the Ignition Switch in a video before this one :)
@bobmunday27625 жыл бұрын
Doofer911 Hi doof, i see what you mean now. So because you started both engines with the switch to the right, the next time you start the engines the switch would be to the left. Thanks for pointing it out to me, I think your tutorials are really good. It's much better when you've got someone like yourself explaining and showing everybody what to do and how to do it. Well done mate and thanks again. Bob

Great tutorial! I have a question tho. When I try to turn on the hydraulic pumps the lights won't turn on, therefore, I can't control the aircraft whatsoever. I have never encountered this issue until today. Also, all the failures are off, so that's not the case. Any ideas? Thanks.
@RavensHammer004 жыл бұрын
When the lights are off and the switches down, engines running, and the battery is on, then the hydraulic pumps are on. Lights on, pumps off. Okay? That is, when the switches are in the down (on) position, lights will come on until the engines or APU is on. The two outside switch lights go off when the engines come online (switches in the down/on position). Inner switches (electric pumps) are switched on (down position) just before engine start. The indicator lights will turn off. When the engines come on line, the lights should already be out, indicating they are working.

@26:37 the ignition selector switch was not moved to " IGN L " position before the Left Engine start sequence... Is it okay to not do that before engine start? ( anyone with suggestions please chime in )
