Struggle is in my top 3 Doom II mods so far. I love the vibe, maps, weapons, enemies, midi and these blue tones! Such a great mod, I will miss when it ends :(

I used Brutal Doom for this (first time I've downloaded it since 7 years lol) because I wanted to do some sort of taunt on top of the cyberdemon wall :D I used it with default settings basically.

You're fighting for your life, being shot at from all directions in that hot start. Yet you can still go to the map view and comment about looking for secrets. Man alive, in that position I would be scrambling for survival. There's the difference between a Doom Master and a schmuck player who still plays TNT: Evilution.

There was an early assault rifle you could jump to in the open area with the red key/mega. Just off the ledge by the yellow door.

A-ha! Are those Brutal Doom animations in the intro? Maybe Struggle gets too.. brutal at this point? P.S. I played Oversaturation as well (with more mid-fight saves, heh), and now I'm stuck at the fight after the Black Sea. Excited to see how you'll handle it!

Does the granade launcher deals as twice damage as rocket launcher? Also how much damage do those blue projectiles deal?

looking at the dehacked in whacked4, I think the rockets/grenades deal the same max splash damage (128), but do *2.5x* the impact damage, so instead of randomly picking {20,40,...,160}, it's now {50,100,...,400}, which explains why they sometimes seem to be able to one-hit some of the mid-tiers as its max damage is now *528* (... which also explains why cybers sometimes are able to OHK you from 200 / 200 in this WAD 😅). I think they're also faster? not sure how much faster they are, though I'm not 100% sure about this, but it looks like the blue projectiles are repurposed arachnotron projectiles that move faster, and do {4,8,...,32} damage each (instead of vanilla {5,10,...,40})?

The progectile speed of the grenade launcher is faster, but the rate of fire is slower than the rocket launcher.

I think the super chaingunners are firing the same progectiles as the assault rifle. Not sure about that, though.

@@crit-c4637 I don't think so, the burst they fire has the same projectile (and firing sound) as the antaresia's final shot (and the elite antaresia's quad-shot), and I think all of those are using the same dehacked action for firing that projectile (BspiAttack) the player plasma (the assault rifle projectiles in this case) are a separate entity from arachnotron projectiles
