These are official game stats: The Armor pickup cuts off all incoming damage by 1/3 until it runs out, but the blue Megaarmor pickup cuts off all incoming damage by half and lasts twice as long as the normal green Armor. Becoming twice as durable and staying so until you get massively damaged seems useful to me. Speaking of game stats Doomguy's true top speed is 72.96‬ MPH through straferunning, an ancient Doom technique where you run diagonally and that's 128% faster than normal running. However there is another even faster technique in the Doom Engine called wallrunning, to do it you hug a wall, align Doomguy just right and start running along the wall you go twice as fast as you normally would, that's 114 MPH for normal running and 145.92‬ MPH for straferunning, but this is much more situational and less reliable.

Also don't forget that his arsenal are more suited to vehicle weaponry than infantry small arms. The standard Heavy Assault Rifle for instance, fire uranium 12.7 mm/.50 Cal ammo. His shotgun shells are also bigger than 12 gauge and his thumb. In contrast Master chief only have vietnam era 7.62 mm ammo. Doom slayer have AA grade 15mm minigun that fire tungsten bullets that have the same kinetic energy of 120mm tank cannon. There are also the Rocket Launchers and Gauss Rifle. Doom Slayer is pretty much a humanoid armored vechicle.

Whenever I think of comparing the strengths of fictional characters - I do a little thought experiment. How would 'Character A' perform in 'Character B's' universe? I think in this specific scenario, Doomguy would pound ass against the covenant and definitely the flood. As much as I love Chief, he’s only powerful in a “realistic” sci-fi sense. Doom guy is written to be an overpowered rip and tear maniac just because. Really and truly they’re incomparable because they’re vastly different. Doom guy was literally blessed by gods and has been ripping and tearing hell over for like what, eons? Chief is just a normal human with a tad bit of luck who has good enhancements and cool armor. Even chief if would lose, I still find myself liking him more as a character and protagonist than doom guy. No hate against doom guy though he’s still badass

During his time as a night sentinel he is given a huge boost to speed, durability, and physical strength by Samur Maykr through a ‘divine’ machine and then he becomes the Doom Slayer. That is the literal lore of the game. Doomguy is just a nerfed version of Doom Slayer.

I'm pretty sure a Baron of Hell is WAY stronger than a Brute, they can tank rockets and plasma. And even if Master Chief can punch harder and react quicker that's his armor doing all the work. He isn't just a man with power ups... And as you said, his arms are exposed, but he still gets rockets, energy fire balls and other things with hell energy thrown at him. He went through worse than a plasma grenade, even if his armor isn't a full body armor. I am a huge Halo fan but I am also a huge DOOM fan. Doom guy is without exaggeration made to be the most overpowered being. I doubt the grenade would kill him. He survived such explosions a lot of times.

According to DOOM Eternal, he has: Shoulder Mounted Grenade/Ice Nade/Flamethrower, The Crucible (literal hell sword), 2 shotguns, a plasma rifle, machine gun, chaingun, ballista, a rocket, the BFG, the Unmakyr and apparently he had a pistol, but they scrapped it.

I have been a BIG Halo fan since I was 4 (yes, I'm THAT young), but even I had to disagree with this battle. Chief's gear and weapons CANNOT compare with that of the Doomguy. Also, whatever Chief throws at Doomguy, Doomguy can just dodge it and dispense even more punishment on the Chief. Keep in mind, this comes from the guy who's been a fan of Halo since age 4.

Doom Eternals solved a lot of the problems there. Doom Guy really is better and the overall winner. The reality that people don't want to admit is that Master Chief is only a good character when he *isn't* overpowered; he's not the best shot, not the best cqc expert, nor the best at using heavy weapons. He's just a guy in the right place at the right time, who did mostly right things. Doom Guy is the literal god(power-wise, anyway) to another race of humanoids who rips and tears through hell, with the worst Hell can do to him being to trap him apart from his suit. One is standard scifi not-even-silent main protagonist, one is embodiment of male power fantasy. No matter how much of a Halo fan, or rather precisely because someone is a halo fan, anyone is, one must agree that Doom Slayer is more powerful than Master Chief.

Unfortunately. No. The Doom slayer is literally a God of war, the doom marine, is just a crazy guy, who can run real gud, and would go into hell for his pet bunny. (Rip daisy) vs the master chief, who is a super soldier who has performed multiple tours across planets, and has stopped an alien invasion multiple times. Doomguy has nothing going for him against chief.

This comment is the equivalent to comparing the strongest man in the world and the strongest mythical creature. The master chief was made to be a somewhat realistic character, since he is human and gets genetically modified and gets a powerful suit. Doom slayer, on the other hand, is about as unrealistic as it can possibly get. It’s quite ridiculous that people are comparing them. They look similar and do similar things, but one is vastly more realistic than the other. There is no question that doom slayer would win.
