You got it just right, if I may add my two cents, always rinse your rice b4 cooking it, A do not assume rice is clean and B washes off the starch, to much starchy food herts your stomach. 💪🏻 Thanks for your time

I do want to add though there's no hate here. I did enjoy the video both by Dorian and M&S. Let's keep at it together. Thank you very much.

100% agree. Rinsing the rice a few times gets all of the extra starch off and helps it cook better along with getting the anti nutrients off of the outside kernel.

Very good tutorial, aside from not rinsing the rice a few times until the water is clear. Could be a lot of arsenic still on there, and could be bad for some if you consume a lot of it regularly like that.

I agree with his rice cooking method. This is the way my mom always did it and the way I always did it. I bought a rice cooker and it just didn’t come out right. Rice is best when you can keep an eye on it and know when to cover and turn the temperature down.

Dorian, tip on cooking the rice: cook on medium-high, once bring it to a boil, cover it and put the flame on low. Should cook in about 12 min. Important not to uncover until it’s time.

Best advice here was at the beginning. A lot of BBers seem afraid of cooking with olive oil - even EVOO has a smoke point of 375-390 - that is perfectly fine for medium heat sauteeing. The health of Italians can't be an accident. Uncle Roger wants a word about that rice though.
