Hi Doron, Freda here from Dubai. I really loved this class - the slower pace and longer holds to really build strength and allow time and space to focus on breath. Nice one!!

The chants always make me so happy and bring me back to the feelings of being there and how good it felt to be there:) Beautiful how some things spark that memory in you. I learned when asanas are done on the right side first, the subtle energy centers and flow of prana on the right side is associated with the solar energy which is active and positive, and so by doing the asana on the right side we are supposedly activating that energy first to create more interest and enthusiasm in the asana practice.

I loved this flow! And the quiz sparked curiosity in me: it's best to twist to the right first, compressing the ascending colon, and then to the left, compressing the descending colon. This aids in digestive processes. I really appreciate learning this knowledge. I wonder if there is an exception? Maybe if you've got a stool flowing like hummingbird rivers and you need it to slow??
@DoronYoga4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Adrianne. I also heard this. Twists generally are more so in the thoracic spine, which is upper back. They do definitely affect the digestion, and maybe even in such ways. If someone has a Hummingbird river flow, I would recommend to simply drink plenty of water...

@@DoronYoga So, should I always twist first to the right, or does it not matter so much? Thanks, looking for clarity!
@DoronYoga4 жыл бұрын
@@adrienneedson8163 I think it is not as crucial as doing both sides always. Even ashtanga has a twists such as Pasasana that they start twisting to the left. Deepen the exhales as you twist, and maintain a tall spine.
