Feels bad for Daff. Actually ended up doing well this game, but it didn't matter because the other two lanes went so terribly due to his teammates misplays. Hope he tries more Brood, seems like he enjoyed it.
@AMeanGecko2 жыл бұрын
The problem I tend to find in dota (not exclusively it seems to affect this whole genre of games) Is that the game has very little telegraphing for what is or isn't good in a moment to moment basis. I have played Dota and League on and off over the course of about 10 years now, and neither of the are very clear about when you are doing well or when you start hitting the wrong notes. In the case of dota, pair the above with a bunch of salty teammates that are only sticking it out because the team can't tap out and concede, makes for a very rough time for everybody.
@ReunionMana2 жыл бұрын
I mean, he repeatedly forgot he had certain items and didn't use them when he should've, costing his team many times over, but yes, he did really well mid in the beginning.

@@tannermattingly4462 I love playing Brood and Daf did make quite a lot of mistakes with her. Can't blame him as he doesn't play her, and even PFlax didn't seem to notice a lot of them. Biggest consistent issue was forgetting that Brood's single most powerful aspect is the freemovement in webs. You don't want to walk up stairs and along paths, you want to web up the space you're about to fight in and then attack from cliffs, trees, etc. Force of habit had Daf walking along paths a lot of the game. That and a lot of fighting outside of the webs: he never had any charges ready to throw down on a fight so he was fighting with a big reduction in damage and survivability.
@Pseudonym6602 жыл бұрын
I think the most common issue for low-level players like Daff, is that they lack the gamesense to know what to do in that scenario. After he won his lane, Daff most certainly didn't help his team out in theirs, nor did he help the aggro Weaver. Weaver was an absolute psychopath, but with some investment, could've been a useful psychopath in the late game. At 10:28, Daff was the strongest in the game, being ridiculously over leveled, so he had no real business staying in his lane at that point. Alternatively, he could've looked to help Huskar carry, or if he didn't trust either of them, build a farming item to try to out-lategame the other team. Every single player on Dire probably had an opportunity like this to save the game. But they didn't.

Im an immortal player and watched this live. If your going to play brood here is my best suggestion, After you take the mid tower (or bot if you play offline), farm their jungle! not your own. That part is incredibly important. you have like 9 webs so you can only cover half the map, if you take their mid tower you have super easy access to their big jungle and if your farming it it means their mid, safelane, and pos 5 cant farm it. additionally it doesn't steal the "safe" farm in your teams jungle and allows you to pressure the t1 bot with 3 heroes very early and you can even leverage it into a t2. And best of all if they come to kill you run. if they chase you are making "space" aka time they aren't trying to kill your carry so great job! hope this helps

I feel like it's a bit short sighted to say that Daf wasn't a factor later in the game. I'm pretty sure a lot of why Dire did so well was because of him. Sort of like how the other team rallied around Legion, the parts of Dire that were worth a damn rallied around Daf's Broodmother.

You don't need to have a full mana pool for OD's Sanity's Eclipse. The damage goes off your max mana pool, not how much mana you have at the time. It's a badly worded tool-tip, which Dota is unfortunately full of.

Just because pros do it doesn't mean it's automatically good all the time. You can't apply high level strategies and builds to low skill players, it's simply a completely different game that requires a different approach.
@TarinaxTheDestroyer2 жыл бұрын
Don't remember Pyrions exact comment but it is hard to hate on a first item aether lens for any support. Cast range keeps supports alive. I'd much rather see that than what most pub Ogre normally does, buy hand of Midas and take safe farm/ not build other support items.

@@leetri If you can't apply the strategies that have been demonstrated to most consistently and reliably win games more often than lose them then pray tell what strategy are you going to apply?
@leetri2 жыл бұрын
@@henrykirby9972 Again, you're talking about a completely different game. What works for pros have absolutely no bearing on what works for these bottom of the barrel ranks. Pyrion wants the supports to buy items to help their team instead of rushing greedy items and then just do nothing all game because they keep dying. It doesn't matter if you're 0/30/0, if you have a Force Staff you can still help your team and save your carry. Having a slightly longer range doesn't matter if the enemy keeps jumping you. There's so, so, so many moments in these scrub casts where they've lost fights because no one had any saving items and just kept getting picked off.
