Doug Kim-Brown, I Just Keep Going

Doug is a gay man living in Idaho - a self-described gay elder, he is passionate about building community. As a kid, Doug worried that coming out would put him in some kind of danger, but now that he's older and safer, he's never been happier. He lives as his full authentic self, and it's a beautiful thing to witness.
Doug is part of a regional group called The LGBTQ+ Seniors of the Inland Northwest. It began in early 2018 in the Spokane area as a way for elder queer people to socialize, support, and be visible in the community. Weekly zoom hours, group lunches, outings and presentations are all parts of the evolving program. Participants live in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana. Check them out:
