Just saw St. Vincent open up for RHCP at fenway in boston. It was a full, harvest moon! Man, what a bad ass show. Highly recommend seeing her and the band. She kicks ass. And designed that guitar from the ground up. Dave Grohl plays her guitar sometimes. Go to a concert. See her live asap. Very good.

She is so amazing, I’m a pretty new fan, but after seeing a trailer for “Nowhere Inn” (movie she did with Carrie Brownstein in 2020), I was intrigued, and went on to binge everything she’s ever done lol. I think I love the newest album the most, but what I really love is how versatile she is. So many of her songs sound like they could have been done by completely different people, she can make a great pop song like Lady Gaga, or a great psychedelic song like Pink Floyd. So, so good.

I didn’t hear any great licks from MS Clark. Good enough rhythm playing but really just one strum pattern repeated over and over. The hot licks came from the bands player. Great songwriting but I just don’t see a guitar virtuoso in her.

Marina did the same thing with Electra Heart too, one day she just showed up to a radio show to do one of the last singles, post tour, and didn’t wear the Electra Heart getup.
