Jeep Gladiator FAIL - Rear Sway bar RIPS OUT of the frame - How we FIXED IT!

Well we found a weak point! I am honestly glad this happened because even though we would be rebuilding the sway bar end links onto the new frame either way, this motivated Kevin to build them absolutely bulletproof out of thick 1/4" steel on both sides of the link and plenty of gussets!

That sucks, I just installed my Hellwig swaybar today, now I have to worry about the gladiator holding that baby on. I have only test driven it 5 miles worth, but I already can tell the difference. Way less rocking back and forth. I just need some quick disconnects so I can adjust it for offroad.

Metalcloak just came out with a reinforcement bracket for this exact problem.

Do you see a need to bush those rod ends on the brackets so there is no chance for side to side slip in there? I would washer them up on both sides or put bushings in there so there is zero side play in the installed position. That way the load will be 100% shear and a lot stronger

yes hyperbaric chamber, 100% O2 (however that is multiplied at depth) which is then saturated into your blood stream to allow you to heal faster. Yep US Navy deep sea diver here!

This happened to my Gladiator as well, both rear link brackets tore. Because of this, I've had my rear sway bar disconnected since it broke last summer. Do you know of a fix outside of doing some custom fabrication?

I enjoyed the video. FYI, you don’t need to take the wheel off the vehicle to reset the bead. You do have to get the weight off the tire and then put air to it to reset the bead. It may not be the right way to do it, but it’s how Matt did it in his video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bH65dGOQlpyrla8
