Your mom was blessed to have you as her son. I can relate to what you were going through, because out of the blue my very outgoing mom, all of a sudden got lost in the town that she had lived all her life. She ended up having a brain tumor that was very aggressive. The weeks leading up to the diagnosis were so hard. You are the son that any mom would be so proud of.

Great intro to the important Focus - what to eat to enhance health and brain function - both the function in the here and now and healthy cognitive aging- 1 conclusion ) eat fatty wild fish and/ or fish oil 2 conclusion) avoid sedentary lifestyle ( physical activity + finish inspired sauna therapy up to 3-4 times a week ) and avoid totally eating highly processed food - 3 conclusion ) - eat a lot of greens with 1-2 tablespoon extra Virgin olive oil ( mice live longer) and some vinegar and your brain looks eleven years longer 4 conclusion ) intermittant fasting is good not eating 2-3 before going to bed and maybe waiting 1-2 hours after walking up before eating breakfast or if you do eat in the morning let it be fat and protein

I bought one of Dr. Gundry's recommendations and couldn't try it because It contains cranberry, so I gave it to a friend of mine, and she was absolutely happy how much better she felt. So full of energy!

I did not get any help when my husband was diagnosed either. Just take these pills to slow it down. Boom that it! Now he has agreed to go on Dr. Gundry's program. He is 82, so I'm praying it is not too late.'

I have been on it since June of 2017 so I know the benefits. and I'm urging my daughter and son at ages 54 and 55 that NOW is the time for them to think about their future health and present health for that matter. They have problems now that could easily be remedied.

Thanks Max - love your info, as always!! Funny, my mom, in the 60s, didn't buy into not swimming after you ate. In the summer time, she would bring our sandwiches out to the pool. We would hang over the edge, so we didn't get crumbs in the pool, eat and swim away, 6 daughters and never a swimming cramp!

Yeah, me too, and I don't eat anything until 1 or 2 in the afternoon (intermittent fasting). BTW, it's 'satiety', not 'sasiety'.

The book is amazing ..these talks are so informative thank god for these people I wouldnt have the health I have now if it wasnt for people like max and dr berg and many others...Gps just dont know or dont care they are so bogged down with patients they just want to push pills..I'm so grateful for these talks

Thank you for your life dedication to improving human health. I've followed Dr. Gundry's diet plan and probably will do so for the rest of my life because I notice the benefits. As a vegan, I would just like to offer a larger picture perspective. I know both of you are sincere in your motivation to bringing an end to "patch up" medical intervention as you try to replace it with proactive prevention. And you do this out of love. Please let me add another angle to this because I think it could help speed up your great work. As mentioned, I know your motivation is love but if I may add to that, I believe things will really speed up if our love includes all life. For that reason I believe it's very important to find health solutions using only plant based foods. Otherwise I feel obstacles to health will always show up if we continue to harm one being with hopes of helping another. This is not only logical, it's actually historical! I wrote a book showing the five major world religions taught the vegetarian diet for compassion reasons. Please consider this angle because we still live in a cause and effect (karmic) world.

--- Radioactive Traces from the Fukushima Nuclear Disaster Found in California Wine Following the 2011 Fukushima nuclear power plant accident, radioactive waste leaked into surrounding areas and contaminated waters and food. Seven years later, traces of the disaster were found half a world away -- in California's wine. A group of French nuclear physicists tested 18 bottles of California's rosé and cabernet sauvignon produced in 2009 and onward and found that the wines produced after the disaster had increased levels of a man-made radioactive particle. Cabernet sauvignon, for example, had double the amount. [Tracking Japan's Tsunami Debris (Infographic)] The researchers used two methods to look for traces of a radioactive isotope called cesium-137. The first method was developed about 20 years ago and could detect the particles through the wine bottle, without destroying or opening it. Since the presence of cesium-137 prior to 1952 is impossible (it's a man-made isotope first released into the surroundings by nuclear testing in the mid-20th century), it has proven quite effective for detecting fraud in old vintage wines, according to the study. For a more accurate detection, the researchers destroyed the wines through heating and reducing them "to ashes," they wrote. They tested for the cesium-137 in those ashes. Though they did find increased levels of the radioactive waste, experts say there is nothing to worry about, according to The New York Times. There are no "health and safety concerns to California residents," the California Department of Public Health told the Times. The levels of radioactive toxins found in food and drinks outside of Japan is too low to be dangerous, according the World Health Organization. Even in Japan at the core of the meltdown, though over 100,000 people were evacuated from their homes, there have been no deaths or radiation sickness reported so far, according to the World Nuclear Association. Further, most bottles of wine made after 1952 do contain at least a little bit of this nuclear twist. Dr. Kahn was incredibly slanderous on The Doctors towards Dr. Gundry. Dr. Gundry barely got a chance to speak, and was portrayed as a misguided and uneducated doctor, when he is anything but.

I recently watched a nature documentary about baboons in Japan. They live and sleep in trees so they can literally wake up and start chewing on leaves, which they did. It seems to me the same could be true for humans if we evolved from tree dwelling creatures. In other words its good to wake up and munch on leaves😁

Does high quality Algea oil Omega 3 also work? I have a product with EPA 609mg and DHA 1.158 mg per 5ml, so I take 10ml a day and have almost with almost 2mg of EPA/DHA a day, so that should be enough?

Dr Grundry, you say that we should consume lots of olive oil. I read that 70 % of olive oils are either fake or are diluted with cheaper much worse oils like canola. Can you suggest source of or a pure olive oil brand. I would very much like to comply with your suggestion of consuming lots of this great oil. I have at least 2 1/2 gal of olive oil that did not pass the freeze test and I have to throw it out.

if you observe nature you will see that humans arnt meant to do heavy cardio workouts , it actually promotes the stress hormone cortisol . flooding your body with cortisol is a bad thing . so lifting heavy weights and mild cardio, walks bike rides etc are better than heavy cardio workouts for your long term health.

Could it be possible that japanese people are so intelligent and healthy because of high iodine intake through fish and algea? Or because of high omega 3 (dha/epa) through fish, or maybe because of both (omega 3 and iodine)?

i am 70 years old and still working and when people see me they cant beleive how active i still am. your diet is key to health. i have friends who are now taking the same supplements i do because they see the results in me, i can not eat the foods i would like because of my lack of knowledge regarding teeth, i lost quite a few so i can not eat what i used to so i take decent quality supplements and omega 3 fish oils is one of them. diet is the cause of all inflamation and a poor ph balance allows diseases to take over the body, another really good book is FIT FOR LIFE by the DIAMONDS and when i followed what hey suggested i dropped over 40 lbs in 3 months and felt like a did on steroids. like the bible says, food is your best medicine but todya our food is trash and you need good quality supplements and when i had teeth , i ate a lot of stir fry veggies with just a small portion of meat to satisfy that craving.

I hear you on the teeth. If I had my root-canaled teeth removed, I would be on baby food. I made a choice to be able to eat real food and keep the teeth as long as I can. And I do supplements as well.

Try adding Youngevity Healthy Start Pak 2 and add the Plant Derived Minerals. You are undoubtedly nutrient deficient; this will start taking care of that and start to fill up your nutritional tank with the 90 essentials nutrients we need but cannot manufacture or get from our soil depleted food, organic or not. But before you do that, if you can postpone healing a little bit longer, get your numbers checked: your heavy metals checked, your mineral panel checked (by way of blood, urine, hair analysis). If you have amalgams you can't go wrong getting them removed unless the wrong dentist performs the task. Any root canals? Get rid of them. Let me know how it goes and the best of luck. Remember - your body wants to heal, your body can heal, and it is trying to heal. Hang on to that. If you have scurvy, NOTHING will cure it but Vitamin C. Get it?

I think Dr. Gundry is onto something and fairly right about his conclusions, but some of the underlying explanations I'm not buying. Why are certain birds smarter than monkeys and why are pigs the genetically closest animal to humans? If you believe in the theory of evolution you should ask yourself questions like that (and many others).

-An "Estrogenic" obese body is created by sugar , high carbs ,refine carbs , eating too much fat and over eating protein .Sugar is sugar .. fruits , ,refine carbs , fructose (sugar) in fruit . Eating toxic factory food , fast food ,, dairy ,cheese ,milk , , mayonnaise , all salad dressings , peanut butter , whey-protein shakes are all "damaged fats" are toxic to your liver, brain and heart , , all vegetable oils ,,"polyunsaturated fats"" , over consumption of any fat including healthy fats like saturated fats will make you gain weight . Drinking alcohol including red wine are toxic to the liver .The less you eat the longer you will live and healthy you will be . A slow unhealthy liver cannot metabolise process any fats including healthy fats . The biggest problem with controlling diabetes (insulin) and weight through diet is that people are lazy . You can lead a horse to water but can't force them to drink. Most people rather eat fast food , , wheat , white flour , factory frozen food ,, can food , protein powder and dairy full of casein that destroy the cells in the pancreas and cause cancer and take pills or shoot insulin than to change their shitty eating habits . We live in an "instant gratification" society full of "lazy people" with zero 0 discipline or work ethic. Sad but true. If you want to lose weight watch your intake of "carbs" , keep your sugar level below 110 by intermittent fasting and eating less .People who eat less live longer . Be careful since the equivalent of 12 teaspoons of sugar happens very quickly. For example: 1 cup of milk equals = 2 teaspoons of sugar * 1 cup of rice (cooked) equals = 9 teaspoons of sugar* 1 banana equals equals = 5 teaspoons of sugar • 1 baked potato equals = 7 teaspoons of sugar • 1 sweet potato = 8 teaspoons of sugar • 1 cup of strawberries equals = 2.5 teaspoons of sugar (low sugar)* 1/2grapefruit = 2 teaspoons of sugar - Coca cola (one can) - 8.25 teaspoons of sugar - Raisin Bran cereal - 7.75 teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams) - Grapes fruit - 4 teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams) - Tomatoes - 0.7 teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams) - 1 Muffin (one chocolate chip muffin) - 4.75 teaspoons of sugar - Special K cereal - 3 teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams) - Corn Flakes - 2.4 teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams) - Alpen cereal - 5.75 teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams) - Mangos fruit - 3.2 teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams) - A cup of seedless prunes has, in effect, 25 teaspoons of sugar ! Scientists find in comparing the sugar levels in the blood after the consumption of a snickers bar that has 8.5 teaspoons of sugar the same as ""two bread slices "" ! . The sugar equivalent is of 1 large bagel a whopping 12 teaspoons of sugar !...It is beyond what the body , the liver and pancreas can metabolize. We are practically growing "" cancer farms " !. Lastly, it is worth noting that there are many breads that a single slice of which will raise your blood sugar more than a US Snickers bar (which has a GI of 68/97). to be healthy you must keep your blood sugar below 110 (""everything"" including eating too much protein will raise your insulin .) Keep your protein portions and meals small , you cannot cheat your body Not even with paleo diet or ketogenic diet will not work for every one . Eating healthy and intermittent fasting is best solution to be slim and healthy for "" Me "" ) find what works for you , do experiment with your self and one day you will hit the solution that works for you ...keep trying ! Only water will not raise "insulin" hormone everything else including protein will raise your insulin , Try intermittent fasting . No carbs no cookies , no baked goods , keep your blood sugar around 110 or under .The less you eat the better you control your insulin hormone and blood sugar and you gain no weight . If you're addicted to carbs and sweets you will not lose weight .Get rid of your addiction and control your "mental health" control your "Cortisol" and "stress" or you not lose weight. So sick of all these half-truth videos could be so good but they keep missing some major factors !! The brain is mostly made of cholesterol not just fats how dare you not mentioned that you need to eat your copious amounts of eggs that are not overly cooked make sure they're cooked in butter.. how dare you not mentioned that you have to be drop dead militant gluten free..... What part of the research did you not understand where ALL oils oxidize when it's extracted from source of growth ! As soon as it's heated up, unless it's in a dark bottle and a dark capsule packed with nitrogen and refrigerated it's oxidative damage is severe..!!

Dr Grundry, you say that we should consume lots of olive oil. I read that 70 % of olive oils are either fake or are diluted with cheaper much worse oils like canola. Can you suggest source of or a pure olive oil brand. I would very much like to comply with your suggestion of consuming lots of this great oil. I have at least 2 1/2 gal of olive oil that did not pass the freeze test and I have to throw it out.
