Why do you use dissolvable suture? Won't the diastasis come back after the suture is gone? Why not use permanent suture?

I'm thinking about the surgery to sew the two sides of muscles back together, but I'm alone. I have no one who can help me in the first recovery days after surgery. Should I forego it?
