Some people (my older brother, for example) got piercings before he had a traumatizing experience with needles. For the sake of his privacy I will not reveal what happened, but sometimes people get piercings or tattoos before they have a fear of needles. Does that make sense?

That's me! But I think it's another kind of pain
@TrixVentures4 жыл бұрын
Hi! So, that's me in the show. I actually initially got the piercings because I liked the way they looked and as a way to get over that fear. And to be honest, needles still make me uncomfortable, but I'm not nearly as terrified as I used to be. Tho, looking back, I suppose not getting them would have meant not getting to that point in the first place lol. 🤷🏻♀️

@@TrixVentures wow! Im really happy you got it treated and i really hope you're doing better, and now you know what to do or what not to do to your body, at least you had your opportunity to deal with your fear of needles in your own way, we all need our own ways to deal with our stuff, so no judgment there. I had the exact keloids on both my ears as well. Had them removed just like her but i went through multiple radiation sessions which slowed the growth, but what really reduced them once they started growing back (cause they will 99% of the time) was cortison injections (corticosteroids). For anyone watching who suffers from this, i implore you to speak to your dermatologist/plastic surgeon/GP about this. If you have a shitty dr who wont even consider it, go to someone else. IT WORKS, its the only thing that does.

@Msshabzii4 жыл бұрын
@@Bananemitsahne I’m sorry to hear that it’s not working for you! With the scars that she has on her ears and that I had as well, majority of the keloid needs to be removed first THEN cortison injections should be started. I do believe the radiation truly helped to slow down cell growth in those areas as well, maybe talk to your surgeon about that option as well? Also, during your injections you should notice that some areas of the scar get soft and flat and other areas are hard to the touch. Your injector should be focusing on the harder parts and injecting there. I hope this helps and that it gets better for you!

A keloid is an over healing scar. I had to have them removed three times from my ears it kept growing back. Thank God it’s been over 10 years since my surgery and the keloids didn’t come back!! my LAST removal procedure was done in a hospital and I had stitches and had to wear compression earrings for a while. I pray hers doesn’t grow back.

Wondering if the keloids were triggered by bad piercing jobs?
@jamie-leighlandeg72605 жыл бұрын
They occur where trauma, surgery, blisters, vaccinations, acne or body piercing have injured the skin. ... When a keloid is associated with a skin incision or injury, the keloid scar tissue continues to grow for a time after the original wound has closed, becoming larger and more visible until it reaches a final size.

BuddyBontheNet seems so. They’re on both sides in the same place

@@jamie-leighlandeg7260 Yes, I know and wondered if it is mentioned in the show - I haven't watched the whole programme. It's very easy to imagine having piercings in both ears in that place.
