I just discovered your podcast. I’m a big Heiser fan, and a Pete Enns fan. Both of their podcasts are on my regular rotation, and now yours is too. There is a big, wide, diverse world of Christian believers out there who seek God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, seek to love neighbor as self, can’t get enough of Jesus, and dive deep into the Bible but who are outside the American evangelical fold. Keep asking the tough questions brother.

I totally resonate with Mr Heisers perspective that there’s a huge disconnect between the modern church and accurate biblical info. Love this interview and the thought behind the channel

How is it possible to get so many things wrong? And when someone new claims to have the correct understanding, how can we be sure of that? Is it not all interpretation, and internalization of the same information? I used to be a believer. But too many of these questions that I had, and leaders advise me “you should not ask such questions of god.”

I also wonder how they tie the character in Ezekiel 28 with Satan where it says that ' thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day thou was created' but Jesus called him a liar from "the beginning"?

I had a similar “what is going on here?” experience with Acts 19. I was always taught that we “get all of the Holy Spirit” at salvation and yet Paul asks “disciples” if they’ve been baptized with Holy Spirit. 🤯🙌🏻😂

Thank you for your comment, I believe in the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob, Yeshua the Redeemer Creator Father Saviour. While I know this, i am a deeply flawed man and i am different in some ways yet i am the same person as when i accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. The Lord says my heart is deceitfully wicked, ✓. I have gone my own way ✓. I judge and i am double minded ✓. These are not victorious life lived in the spirit confessions of a "Born Again Christian." "It is finished"

Absolutely! Each denomination has their own bible scriptures they follow: each different from another. But, none of them can go beyond their denominational doctrines, and none works in any other, each one has its own way they interpret the scriptures, and how much of them to follow. It's not what God has in mind!They actually dishonor God by their different traditions and teachings. Psalm 25:14; Deuteronomy 29:29; Romans 16:25-26; Colossians 1:26; John 14:16; 1 Corinthians I:10-31. If they do not do it God's way, they are actually wasting all their time on vanity, it gets no attention whatsoever from God! He has made His way known by revealing it throughout the scriptures, we rightly divide the word of truth, when we take the time to study to make ourselves approved unto God...not to man!

@ 50:29 Michael Heiser "What verse says that?" There may not be a verse in "The Bible" that says that, but there is an entire book kept out of the bible that says that. It's called the Book of Enoch. Dr. Heiser was a very smart person, but he was fallible, as we all are. He is ignoring The Book of Enoch because the Catholic Church withheld that book from the bible. We must always remember that "The Bible" is a product that is assembled and put out for sale by the Vatican. Vatican City and the Catholic Church are ruled by Satan (conducting just a small amount of research proves this). Apparently Dr. Heiser never figured that out, which is unfortunate. The reason that the Book of Enoch and other scriptures are kept out is because if people were able to read all the hidden books and scriptures then they could figure out what is really going on in this Earth realm that we are in. Satan and his priests are hiding truth from all humans to tilt the game in their favor.

Actually, he doesn't ignore it at all... he authored an entire commentary on Enoch and discusses it ad nauseum in his Naked Bible Podcast.

Eve didn't take an apple as taught.
@AnHebrewChild
@AnHebrewChild 2 жыл бұрын
I've never heard that taught. In fact, every time I've heard Gen 2 & 3 preached, in various denominations and on Christian radio, the preacher raises the point that it's only a weird tradition (and NOT scriptural) from the art world that "Eve ate an apple."
