This method is a microcosm of how life in general should be lived. A whole lot less ego, more mindfulness and useful examination. Replace "just do it" with "just go with it" . Thankyou for providing.

This is so excellent. Fat burning all during that aerobic run, fat adaptation, I’ve noticed such a difference. Not hungry at all during the run and for a few hours after. And always run fasted. Nasal breathing. No headphones. Lower carb moderate fat moderate protein diet. Sounds crazy but his way of running and thinking about life has really changed MY life for the better. Great interview.

Love the relaxation while running aspect. Before MAF running, I never felt as relaaaxed as I do now while out running, exclusively nasal breathing, and just no distress or fatigue. It is incredibly relax ing, addiction, and invigorating. Totally my drug

Hi Pete. I’m a big fan of the HFLC diet. When I started in January in a few weeks I lost kg of fat and my weight is absolutely fine compared to my tall and body composition but still I struggle with the performance when it come to the speed workouts or intensity workouts. I realize that I need carbs but I do not understand how is exactly the range . 100 gr? 150/200 grams of carbs? I’m 53 triatleta 1.84 cm tall and 74 kg now. Thanks if you can give me some advise. Corrado.

I like the MAF concept but his nutritional information is pretty bad . You can see man study's on preworkout carbohydrates and direct measures on trial performance. This example goes directly against the ideal not having some carbs preworkout. Also "sugar" is still the same sugar in fruit and has a constant history of health benefits .

Maff is nonsense. Its just so random it doesn’t make any sense. Run by feel and avoid this bulls@#£it

Your evidence? The evidence that the vast majority of elite athletes have huge aerobic base is pretty established. MAF and even Zone 2 training is sustainable and reduces injury.
@Neilveg
@Neilveg 2 жыл бұрын
@@dcdno_one2393 Having a huge aerobic base is not the same thing as following the MAFF plan. I personally have quite a low HR so could follow a MAFF plan but there is more to training than just HR.
@dcdno_one2393
@dcdno_one2393 2 жыл бұрын
@@Neilveg it all comes down to HR. Find your max VO2 and power at that - look at the HR. Find lactic thresholds - look at HR. The HR shows the strain of the body. Any sports scientist will have you training by HR. Again, all elite athletes build a base and then train 80/20. Sure nutrition and hydration are important for performance but without a base nothing else matters.
@Neilveg
@Neilveg 2 жыл бұрын
@@dcdno_one2393 80/20 is a different way of training than MAFF. Elites just don’t follow Phill Maffetone methods as its just nonsense.
