Prof. Noakes is a legend. Supremely smart and willing to change his theories if the evidence shows he's wrong. He is an honest scientist

I've improved my insulin and metabolic health by implementing the Carnivore diet. Nearly three months into the carnivore diet with daily intermittent fasting, and the results are life-changing! Here are my numbers: * Weight: Down 30 pounds * Blood Pressure: Improved from 139/90 to 123/73 * Glucose Levels: Dropped from 123 mg/dL to 102 mg/dL * Ketones: Now at 3.0 mmol/L * GKI (Glucose Ketone Index): 1.8 This combination has truly transformed my health and my life!

@trappedcat3615 Same thing happened to me, but I had some issues. Too much energy, no patience and nervous ticks. Lots of emotional trauma that was dealt with was unable to stay hidden after getting rid of my vices, sugar and potatoes. The diet is definitely not for everyone, or maybe a timing thing. There are a ton of personal issues that the diet and am unable to go all in. The changes were way too dramatic for me.

Glad you had the brilliant Professor Noakes, I do not know a man that has been more honest and taken more grief from big food and big pharma. Someone said he is a legend and that may be true but what I am most impressed with is he is a teacher at heart and as willing to learn as any Maverik I have seen...what a gift!

Interestingly my BG levels are higher after a low/zero carb meal in comparison to meal with +100g carbs from sourdough or rice and fruit, with protein obviously

Praise the Lord! I feel better eating everything and I really wish people would realise this. We all need self control though. Never felt energetic on keto, just that stable low energy which I feel when I am really hungry eating normally. Never measured my sugars, but something just wasn't right plus eating salts and powders like a maniac. So glad I got out of cult.

I love my carbs so much they have dominated my diet! I'm 65 and look better at the beach than most guys half my age. Can run two miles in under 20 minutes and can bench press my weight for reps. Carbs!

Same. A sign of a healthy metabolism is being able to utilize glucose. It IS healthy to consume carbohydrates. I stay leaner and more muscular with carbs. Replacing my calories with fat literally makes me fatter while simultaneously causing weight loss. Not good. Too much of the wrong kind of fat is what causes diabetes/insulin resistance. Not carbs or sugar.

Oh, look another seed oil and carb hater. Yawn. He talks about a sugar addiction, but what about a fat addiction? Would this guy be able to do something like the True North diet (no fat, no oils, no salt)? Imagine recommending coconut oil in light of its sad fat content. This channel flipflops so much.

OMFG Thomas stop talking buzzwords... there isnt such a thing as low carb mediterranean diet, in reality mediterranian diet isnt one diet because mediterranean basin is enomous and include parts of three continents but if you really want to simplify the term it is by far a plant based diet with some meat inncluded as a ingredient and no one here eats the way you describe it. it is not MD just because you gulp olive oil...
