The track operators were royal asshats. You should write to the general manager and include a link to this video with the timestamp of the incident. Anyone who lightly peeps your channel can quickly surmise you're one of the good ones. I'm glad you were able to get an official printout, kudos to you and everyone else who helped to supercharge this badboy, but that experience puts a sour note on something otherwise awesome.

GSF would be awesome! But those things are running in the $50,000 range right now if I'm not mistaken they're still pretty pricey on the used car market

I’ve seen a few for $40k with a little higher mileage so either than or an ISF would be cool once I am ready

For sure if you can get a GSF in the $40k range that's a pretty good deal! I can't complain my FBO ISF has been the most reliable car I've ever owned for the past 7 years. Can't go wrong with either one although the GSF would provide a little bit more of rear seat space and seating if you're looking for that.

I’d pass on the is-f since you’ve had the 3is platform for so long it wouldn’t be anything really exciting since everything is the same feel almost. I know having new tech and features is amazing if you can find something more modern. Hey do you know anyone selling a 4runner by chance in Georgia ? I got cash 💰 I would prefer 4wd trd 5th gen and newer as possible. I have a deposit on a new new one but I’m prob pulling out Monday because of the wait and the markup

Good run and nothing wrong with a 12.4@115. Shame you did not get the second run timed. You needed to use the Dragy. It would have shown if you were quicker. I just did a PB in my ISF at 12.15@116.4. Moving the car along and do something else for a while.

My 07 SuperCharged 2IS 350 with no back seats did 12.21@115.9 with DOT's at Thunder Valley 1/4 . I'm sure if you do more passes with better tires and no back seats you will get faster time.

I sure am curious about the whp gains from the true dual exhaust. IIRC, your 423 whp was with a y-pipe exhaust. A lot of air is coming out of that beast, so I imagine the dual exhaust makes a non-trivial difference.

@@MartyMotoring Port and polish intake manifold and plenum would be cheap and easy and the bigger Tundra throttle body might help too (6mm wider iirc). Not sure the trans can handle much more power though lol

Lol good eye. Since I’m looking to sell this car and was thinking of ISF or GSF, I put the OEM trunk back on. In case I get an ISF I wanna use that on it. Plus, being carbon fiber there are not holes for anything like reverse camera and it was causing issues. I want the future buyer to have it work well for them.

I was looking to buy a trunk like the one you had but I also have a rear camera and don’t wanna deal with that issue. Some people trim the holes but you gotta be precise. Whatever car you end up getting, it’s been such a crazy long journey for you so congrats ahead of time bro💪🏽

That makes sense. But he wasn’t firm with his signals. It looks like that’s what I did the first time, but there were 2 cars in front of me then. If the guy did a perceivable “stop” hand motion, all that could be avoided.

If you look at the track operator's hand at 9:10, it's not moving, so it appears he was telling you to stop. However, he didn't need to react like that.

not with the tune, in auto it shifts at the the stock shift point

In my tests, it varies. Seems like both get around the same result. Sometimes manual is faster and sometimes auto 🤷‍♂️

@@MartyMotoring I suppose if you touch the limiter at all any extra from the more revs is lost, I prefer the shifter to the paddles & just go by sound, as long as it's in the red somewhere it's all good lol, don't hit the limiter much like this

Yeah I tried to keep cool, bad hand signaling. Lol yup lots of power trips I call them. I do enjoy how fast this is, and an F would be about the same FBO. But I would also like something bigger and a little newer with the family now. But still fun!
