Funny, once a dad, always a dad. He handed Dan a $20 bill, and wanted to make sure Dan understood that fact, like when he gave him money to buy something as a kid, fully expecting his son remembers to hand over the change. 🙂

its very important that family allow things like that to happen, alot of times family says nono, ill get it , it completely strips away what little independance these people struggling have left. Its not alot, but even small things like reaching into a wallet and paying with right change or paying for things , getting change putting it away helps keep their sense of normalcy a bit in a life of not so normal things.

He's such a sweet man. My father died when I was 5 years old and the only grandfather I had died before I turned 2 years old.. So I never really had any male figures in my life growing up. For some reason I didn't really dream about having a father, but I always dreamed about having a grandfather. If I'd see old men walking down the street I'd always look at them and feel this love and compassion for them... I get those feelings when watching videos of your Dad (/Grandpa) too! I find him precious. I wish I had someone like him in my life too, even in his current condition ~ he may suffer from dementia, but his essence is still there, shining as bright as ever.. 🌟💓

I can not say enough how much I enjoy watching your videos. My mom's sister developed early onset dementia with Parkinson's- she was 57..she lived 13 years post diagnosis at home withher husband. All the sisters(my 4 aunts) and my mom took turns caregiving all those years..my uncle, a 'manly man' 2 tour Vietnam veteran got to the point where he would even fix her hair and apply make up for her. Alzeheimers/dementia is heartbreaking to watch but I dare say, I believe its better to 'watch' progress at home, surrounded by family, comforted with infinite love. Thank you for normalizing keeping families together when possible.

Yep, your dad is doing very well for a 90 year old man. I had the privilege to know my late great grandfather as a kid, and he passed away at the age of 98 (1880-1978). He could still walk, talk, etc, but he was suffering very badly from Parkinson's and my late great grandmother had to dress, shave and feed him everyday, because his hands was shaking to much. 👍
