I love how kind Sebastian is to Merrill. I thought he'd be cold towards her, as he's from the Chantry. But he never has been. I love putting them in a party together.

+Elisabeth Hawke The kindness is fake, he says in another banter to Fenris that she should be turned into the templars. Her being a free mage all her life plus a blood mage would mean that turning her in would mean either her death or being made tranquil.

Honestly he has no real reason to even suggest betraying Hawke's companions other than "The Chantry says so", but considering the fact that leaving Anders alive makes him swear he will try to burn Kirkwall to the ground with an army if you even dare to think about it...eh...it might be the only companion in Dragon Age I can safely say I would have no regrets of leaving inside the deep roads alone XD

Side note: Philomela is a Greek deity of music, so Merril's suggested name for his bow implies that Andraste is nothing more than a pretty song.

Merril is so adorable! She reminds me of how I used to act. Not...not the whole blood magic thing...of course. Really. Honest. That whole squirrel/deer incident was blown WAY out of proportion, I swear.

For a super devout religious guy; I always liked that Sebastian is very understanding and respectful to other cultures in the Dragon Age universe. Unlike Anders and Fenris who are as stubborn as a rock throughout the entire game. Also 1:50 always cracks me up. He sounds so excited about this weird tradition.

Seb wanted to turn in Anders and Merrill. He didn’t explicitly say he wanted them made tranquil. And he wasn’t wrong about how dangerous they were. Anders murdered thousands of innocent people, driven by his choice to permit a spirit to possess him. Merrill’s playing around with demons got her whole clan killed. Hate his preaching, but he wasn’t wrong.

@@hayleybartek8643 In fairness to Merrill she was acting responsibly for the most part and asked Hawke to be there to kill her if need be. Marethari is the one that fucked up by turning the clan against her, taking the demon into herself and not preparing the clan for her death. The clan should have moved on after a few years not be stuck there for 6 or 7. Marethari is the idiot in this situation. Merrill isn't perfect but she wasn't the sole issue or even the main one.
