When the Human Chantry declared a 'Conclave' was to be held to settle the dispute between Templars and Mages, the Dalish clan Lavellan heard about it. They decided to send their First, Seylis, to spy on the Humans. After all, nothing that came from the Chantry was ever good for the last of the Elvhen people.
