You can react negatively against him when he comes out and even support his father's opinion. There are really many morally bad options in DA games, for example if you kill companions or innocent citizens, or if you are pro-slavery. You can even play a racist especially against Qunari and Elves. If you look at it in context, it makes no sense if you can slaughter a whole tribe of innocent people but then suddenly go too far with such specific statements.

Unfortunately like many other people here Taash is my least favourite companion and that has something to do with their maturity. Now I haven't played through the whole game yet so maybe it will change. But unfortunately the way they act is just... Not something I can get behind at times. They do have their moments where I'm like "oh neat" and there are also funny moments but overall the character suffered from weird writing in this case. I do appreciate the attempt of writing a character who tries to discover themselves being it through their cultural identity or something else. But they just didn't nail it. Truly a shame of all things the writing is the one thing that suffered the most. Now it isn't horrible for the whole game there are just too many moments where it's weird and a few where it's not good at all. But it also has great moments.

If someone went to another country and learned the culture and values they very much can become part of the ethnicity. Because ethnicities just like any other identity are man made. We give us identities and labels to differentiate us and give us names. That's sociology 101. Something you would have even learned back in the early 2000s.

These dialogues reflect exactly whats wrong with many people ending up calling themselves as not a woman: the perceived pressure to be some sort of stereotype or not pretty enough. While almost nobody really is that much of a stereotype.

Taash' romance is weird. It is probably second to worst on my list, but I actually really like Rook in it. Rook has emotionally intellectual dialogue, lots of introspection, a good mix of fun and serious dialogue. It is strange.

if they wanted to tackle this subject they could’ve done it with more substance, another problem is that rook striped from their agency you can’t reject her and that’s why everyone is mad the game devs have to stop inserting themselves in these characters it’s truly pathetic because taash is an amazing character but this is her ENTIRE storyline….. im LGBQT and im saying the non binary scene was truley awful to sit through i love a good queer storyline but you can tell one of the game devs really pushed for this plot point plus the voice acting is not the best in some scenes

@@will2583956it's a companion quest, so you can straight up just never encounter it. Also the games plot has similar hidden requirements to ME2 so do with that knowledge as you will

all the videos out rn are romancing taash with a cis man and trust me, this romance is MUCH better with a non-binary rook. It really gets deep and really hits. It's truly the best way to experience taash's romance

As a person who romanced Lucanis, the slowest burn in the game, yall are lucky you got a kiss this quick DAMN. Still a Lucanis lover though, I thought it was a great payoff.
