You can’t have infinite space between planets and still get there. People think it’s hyperbole because it has to be otherwise no one could reach another planet, which they do. The only other option if that the writers don’t know what infinite means…

Just because it’s an infinite universe doesn’t mean there’s an infinite distance between planets. There could just been an infinite amount of planets. If they were really infinitely far away, you wouldn’t see them.

I disagree about the infinite distances between each celestial bodies, as expansive means covering a wide distance in terms of space, but it’s wide distance to a point that’s it never stops hence the endless is used is used to before expansive. But what makes Gas’ speed feat legit infinite speed is that Whis stated the distance is great to warp directly, meaning it’s a great distance that Earth to king Kais planet cuz Goku can go warp directly to that planet with seemingly no effort and yet he couldn’t warp directly to planet Cereal, mind you the King Kais planet is outside the universe, infinite universe which means that Gas must have travelled at least an infinite distance to planet Cereal.
