Im just happy to hear someone else say the ending of Z wasnt good. He still on the fucking planet but says goodbye like he'll never see them again. What? Bulma could use a jet, vegeta and the zfighters can just fly. Why the fuck would he just up and leave and magically disappear. Z's ending was rushed and bad. The ending needs to be retold to fit an actual ending for Goku and from then on I couldnt care less what happens. Gohan finally becomes the main character sure. In the manga I believe it was four years since Goku last saw Bulma. This lines up pretty well considering she hadn't really seen him since Moro or Granolah which take place three or four years before EoZ. As of Super Hero in the manga, Vegeta hasn't come back home yet according to Bulma unlike in the movie where she states that he had returned for a bit a few weeks ago.

What I would like the most is for Goten and Trunks to become much more serious characters, with their own unique trains and personalities, that are characters that train properly and consistently. Id like Goten and Trunks to put all the “Potential” into practice like Gohan and continuosly take advantage of it, and become what Gohan could have been, instead of getting a power every decade or so. They’ve seen the effects off not training from Gohan, and its entirely stupid to have them waste potential like it was said in the “End of Z”, and is just a waste if two potentially great characters. Trunks has literally spoken to his future self and should know the importance of training and maintaining strength. They have seen their fathers push themselves to greater lengths all the time. Additionally, THEY KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO HAVE THE FATE OF LIVES REST IN THEIR HANDS. (BUU arc)All these factors should make them training machines, but apparently they forget that. They have Goku (Instinct) Vegeta (Focus/Destruction) and Broly (Primal) all as teachers to instruct them the basics of which path they’d like to take. Mastery of Godly forms and someone to teach them Saiyan basics. Imagine these two kids with a possible route to SSJ4 through Ikari, forms like SSG/SSB, UI/UE mastering all of these.

Facts, plus I would love to see Goten and Trunks obtain God Ki someday and follow the God Ki route and it also would be cool if Goten and Trunks both followed the God Ki route and had their potential unlocked by Elder Kai along with combining God Ki with their potential unlocked states and then individually achieving Ultimate type of Ssj God and Ssj Blue forms as well as developing a ultimate type of Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego. Also since Goten and Trunks are obviously way more adventurous now and still like fighting, I think that will also allow them to get more important roles and get way more character development after the Super Hero arc. Plus Goten and Trunks are way older now and aged up to, so it’s definitely time for Goten and Trunks to be way more involved in the series and develop even further as characters. Also I really hope the battle against Cell Max and Gohan’s new power up motivates Goten and Trunks to continue their training and seek out getting mentored and trained by Gohan before they finally get properly trained by Goku and Vegeta. And if we get one more saga after the Super Hero arc before Super finally reaches End Of Z and the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament, then Goten and Trunks should definitely be heavily involved in that saga as well. And when Super (or if Super gets a new name) finally goes beyond End Of Z and the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament, that would be an absolute perfect opportunity for Goten and Trunks to get way more important major roles and get tons of character development to grow even further as characters. Something I also think would be great for Goten’s and Trunks’s characters and their development after the series finally goes beyond End Of Z in canon is Goten and Trunks joining the Galactic Patrol and becoming Special Agents for the Galactic Patrol and then going on tons of difficult missions throughout Universe 7 and missions in the other universes as this would also allow Goten and Trunks to develop and grow even further as characters into adulthood, they would gain way more experience, they would constantly train and properly train to prepare for their missions, they would become way stronger and more skilled than before, they would achieve and develop new transformations, their fighting skills and abilities would improve dramatically, they would learn and gain tons of new skills and techniques, Goten and Trunks would get the opportunity of being trained by Merus, they would make new friends, and Goten and Trunks would fight tons of different villains and antagonists all while Goten and Trunks train with different characters and get mentored by characters like Whis, Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and Merus. And I think the next movie should definitely mainly focus on Goten and Trunks with Goten as the main protagonist and Trunks as the secondary main character while the main villain/villains of the movie could be Android 21 and with very powerful evil clones or Androids that are clones of the Z fighters, numerous extremely powerful demons from a unknown demon realm in Hell, or a much stronger version of Frost who become way stronger from training and who also secretly allied himself with numerous powerful aliens. The type of story formula that can be used for the movie is “The Hero’s Journey” and the movie should take place after the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament as well as take place first on earth then later go to ether some unknown part of Universe 7 or then go to Planet Sadala in Universe 6.

@@jao999 Actually it will most likely happen since Goten and Trunks are aged up and way older now and they’ve been shown in Super, the manga prequel arc to Super Hero, and Super Hero to be way more adventurous and looking for more excitement while still liking fighting. So Goten and Trunks being a lot more adventurous, looking for more excitement, and finally being aged up and way older now will most likely allow them to have more important roles in the future and develop even further as characters after the Super Hero arc. Plus there was already an additional scene of Goten and Trunks added in Chapter 93 for the manga adaptation of Super Hero that wasn’t shown in the movie, so that’s already a sign that Goten and Trunks are gonna be more involved in the series from now on and will actually develop even further as characters after the Super Hero arc.

Rebranding makes sense for marketing reasons like, for example, in DBS, a Gohan figure he wears his Orange Gi, but in DBU (Ultra), he wears his Purple Gi. Plus, that's what happened with DB and DBZ. Tbh as a fan of all things dragonball I wouldn't mind if they took the cool ideas from dbgt (like say ssj4 or a super android) and made their own new series after end of z. Yes DBGT is flawed and I didn't like the planet hopping, that and super pretty much retconned dbgt in areas (like pilaf and gang being old while trunks is a young adult or kibitoshin still being a thing); but it had some potential. Take out the bad parts, keep the good bits and create a new story with new ideas going forward. DBGT can still be like dbz broly is, another dimension/timeline thing. But for the current story/canon, I'd love the potential of not knowing where we will go; who we fight, what happens. To many the unknown scares them because they aren't prepared for something different that might change what they love. For me? I can't wait. It gets me excited to see what kind of strong fighters are out there and how far everyone can push their limits!

If anything I'd say keep the end of Z intacted but updated in super to be more fleshed out with dialogue we didn't hear off screen. Broly, Beerus, whis, Frieza, any power ups during super are still justified in end of Z since Goku was just testing uub and never really went all out. All characters not present in end of Z are off world and could even be added in a scene of retelling it like they are watching from beerus' planet with the exception of Frieza who would be more occupied with planet domination as per usual. Nothing says Goku doesn't go to uub's village then transport them to beerus' planet to train. We could easily have more stories of pan training with Gohan and piccolo in a post Z super storyline. As crazy as it sounds nothing can recon GT even except kibitoshin being fused still , Goku was turned into a kid who's to say when that happened that he can't go God, Blue, and ultra anymore and Super Saiyan 4 is the most he can obtain after the fact.

My Idea Purely Dub Titles btw Have a movie called "Dragon Ball Super: End of an Era" It will be a full retelling and extension of End of Z. Then have the next series (Dragon Ball XT or something) be a whole series with goku being the focus of few episodes aside from the finale episodes. Probably 6-10 in total where he is a main focus, and have the rest be on the other main cast such as Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Piccolo, Tien, The Androids, Maybe even hedo and Gamma 1, and even Krillin. I feel like this would be a very good way to ccontinue on the series. After of course they do the moro arc. It needs to be in anime form.

It makes sense doesn’t it? But I think at this point they just don’t like Toyotaro. I think they just consider his continuity totally different from their own. Considering there’s a Manga Dragon Ball Room & an Anime Dragon Ball Room for discussions - I think they pretty much just want to go in their own route. The fact they skipped his arcs but did super hero just because Toriyama had provided most of the script, says to me that Toei just don’t want to follow Toyotaro’s work. I think that I’d like to see Goku be the main character in 2 more arcs after the end of z because if that happens we could maybe get a reboot of gt and id like to see Goku get ssj4 in cannon and it should be cool to see goku fight 2 more villans while trying to master ssj4 and then goku could retire from fighting or somthing and focus more on training Uub and then Gohan could take his place as protector of earth but here are some things I’d like to see before Goku leaves as the main character in dragon ball. Frankly the "end of Z" episodes could be thrown out entirely and nothing of value would be lost. They basically have been ignored already, and GT already continued within their continuity. If you still count "end of Z" as canon, then you're in the Dragonball GT timeline. If you ignore them entirely, then you're in the Super timeline. The bigger problem is the fact that Super, the anime, basically ignores the Super manga, skipping the Moro and Granolah arcs. Frankly I think that's a mistake, but that falls under the "too many hands" idiom. Then again, perhaps it's time to just let Dragonball end, although since it basically prints money, it'll never end. You'll see the 50th return of the Red Ribbon Army before that ever happens.

Would be great, if they reboot the series and solve all the errors, plot holes and stupid power levels all over the place. Make characters important, like Tensinhan, Piccolo and so on. Not at the level of Goku and Vegeta, but don't eliminate them from the story. Also, reintroduce the tail even for Goten and Trunks and the most important thing.. MAKE THE ANIMATION LOOK GOOD! It's a lot of work, but this will bring back all the fans.

A route they could take is pretty much pass the super hero movie with an arch with black freeza, then follow up with end of Z with an arch centered around uubs training and a new badie he can take down. I honestly hope Toie continues to the timeframe Gt took place and rework some ideas GT had with better execution. Cause some of those ideas were pretty good but executed poorly. One of my favorates were shadow dragons and thr black star dragon balls.

The Broly Movie Adapted Dragon Ball Minus, as it's Prolouge, so Toei can use The End of Z as this new Dragon Ball Anime's Prolouge as well, & use Uub as One of the Main Characters with Goku as his Mentor.

It’s a nice thought, but it’s canon until they surpass it. That’s why they’re doing all this BEFORE it. That’s why everything so far has been leading to it, they’re making sure it all fits together. They’re disregarding small details yes, but it’s canon until they (potentially) redo it,

Nah, he was where they left him at the end of the Broly movie - with a house & food on Vampa. Beerus didn’t even meet Cheelye until the Super Hero movie so it’s highly doubtful he was there with his entourage the whole time

Great analysis. though the once thing that i never really understood was why goku leaves for so long without seeing his family. With Instant Transmission he could go home at the end of each day pretty much regardless of where he is in the galaxy if not, the unverse. I realise that that's one of the cute things about his character but it really an irritating plot hole when you consider that he's been married to Chi Chi for at least 20 years and been dead for 7 of those. i do think it's an element of character development that needs to be fixed with Goku. hell.... even Vegeta managed it! (though perhaps, initially, that stems more from his pride as a Saiyan royal than anything else)

i want super to animate the moro and granolah arc then cover superhero again but not like Battle of gods and ressurection F just a short timeskip and tell what happened during it then probably black freiza arc and a matchup between whis and beerus vs goku and vegeta then a final fight between goku and vegeta then Z's end then maybe another timeskip for goku to come back after like 10 years then goku and vegeta have their last sparring match then during the match they have a beam clash and all the things that happened throughout their life flashes through

Maybe just don't consider those last eps part of the main story and go with it however they decide to take on the story, wich I really don't mind since like, it's not the same as the manga, but is about the same, so I think it's cool either way, not really that complicated

Eh, when it comes to Dragon Ball, I think the discussion of canon has happened so much, that the franchise has become a 'Choose your own Adventure' type of franchise. Like how R.L. Stein made multiple Goosebumps books into those 'Reader Beware...You Choose the Scare!' series. Purists who prefer Toriyama drawn and story board direction would end at DBZ. Some may choose it continues to GT while many disliked it. And some may add Super into the discussion while disregarding the last few episodes of DBZ 289-291 and waiting for a new retelling or divergent ending. I don't think the Super series HAS to end the way 289-291 did. And even if it's told in a different way, there's no telling whether or not it HAS to end there as a retelling of 289-291 could lead to one final arc instead. The way 289-291 works into canon is the 50/50 chance of Beerus wanting to meet Goku because of events of the movie and later retold in Dragon Ball Super. 289-291 could have been a timeline where Beerus just naps and doesn't wake up and forgets about the prophecy while Super he's actually diligent in waking up to find his 'rival'. Even if 289-291 is retold with the introduction of Uub, it's not necessarily fact that Goku spends his whole time training Uub, for all you know, he could take Uub to where Beerus and Whis are just like how he took Broly there to train him.

Technically GT did start as a Toriyama creation. He designed the logo, the initial character designs, the spacecraft design & a few of the worlds they would visit and some of the inhabitants of those planets. But he provided those to Toei so that they had a basis to continue from. People don’t connect DBS & DBGT for the most part, it’s only a few fans that haven’t noticed the inconsistencies. It’s also the fact that for Years Toriyama never wanted to encroach on that time space that GT filled as he didn’t want to disrespect the fact that GT existed by completely replacing it. …but Super has made GT impossible to work in the same timeline so really it doesn’t matter now.

Everything in super happens before the last episode of z ya. But I'd like to see more on trunks and Goten then pan and bola Goten needs something awesome to happen to him how you gonna undermine Goku's kid. Goten and trunks can be next Goku and Vegeta
