This last three-parter is an absolute masterclass in how to write a show. It's a rollercoaster of emotions and feels perfectly balanced all the way through. I have legitimately never seen a series that ends as cleanly as this. Years of watching left me shattered for quite a while, and I could never get tired of watching it again and again. It always hits the same. Also, a little bit at the end that doesn't get caught a lot is them showing Android 16 with a halo, implying he had a soul the whole time. There is a little bit left to the series as well, Kai abridged, the Epilogue, and the Buu Bits are all excellent, with Buu Bits being quite new.

This series and the reactions were a masterpiece. My fav moment was just the fact that even in the real one android 16 just dies. As cell said " we both know he never had a soul". But in this they included the art of android 16 sitting in heaven with a halo showing he really did have a soul.

That final goodbye speech from Goku is such a double whammy now. Both because it was an accidentally perfect farewell to DBZA proper since they hadn't actually decided to call it quits yet when they wrote it but it still fit perfectly and now it's also a perfect farewell to Toriyama as well.

It’s kinda a double Uno reverse because when they wrote it they hadn’t decided for sure if they were stopping DBZA so they wrote it as a send off, then they decided they would continue, then they got so burnt out trying to do Bojack that they changed their minds and stopped.

Comedies are the best at giving us dramatic moments. When you're laughing throughout a show or movie and it suddenly takes that turn, it hits so much harder. I love that they took the joke of "Bye Son" and turned it into a sweet moment both when Goku disappeared with Cell and when Goku says "Bye Sons" in this part. It's been a great ride, and I've loved watching along with y'all

The ending being super emotional makes more sense with the context of how long the series went on for. From the 1st episode to the last I think 7 or 8 years passed, the conversation between Gohan and Goku about him not coming back was also a conversation between TFS and the viewers about DBZA not coming back. We'd been getting hyped for new episodes for years at that point, it felt super weird to not have that to look forward to anymore, a sense of community had formed around the show, we'd rewatch it once in a while, quote random jokes from the show, etc, always looking forward to the next episode. And for TFS it felt even weirder because it was their main project for so long, it was what blew them up, and how they met several of their friends. A long-winded emotional goodbye felt extremely appropriate.

This series is so special to me. As a kid DBZ was the first anime I ever saw (aside from Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh, but those were still “kids” shows, and DBZ felt impossibly intense and exciting for a cartoon), and I have great memories of it. I never caught the entire run, but I remember seeing parts of it from the Frieza saga to the Buu saga. And it always just captured my imagination as the coolest show ever. It wasnt until I rented one of the games and then DBZ Kai was broadcast on Nickelodeon that I was able to experience it again. But since then, my love for DBZ had lain mostly dormant for yeeeeeears. It was DBZA that reawakened it with a fury, and gave me an even greater appreciation for the story, characters, and everything Toriyama has made. It's thanks to DBZA that I've now watched the entire show, become an even bigger fan of Toriyama, and have even started reading the original Dragon Ball manga in Japanese for study/practice. It's pretty wild that a manga series from the 80’s could still be so beloved and well known 30+ years later around the whole world.

Your reactions to these have been so awesome! I love the Chels went from hating Goku to crying about his death. Goku is very dumb in this depiction but he still keeps his bravery and strength to the right thing like in the actual show. One thing that is great about this story from the Saiyan Saga to Cell Saga is it tells the story of Goku’s roots but also sets the table for Gohan to be the hero. Great, longform storytelling. Not sure if you be down to do it but would be awesome if you reacted to the Bojack movie which happens after Cell is beaten.

15:25 Mr Saten is the ture hero of this whole thing. In both the og and the abridged version, he knows hes a fraud, he knows full well what happened and that "the kid" was the real hero, however the WORLD knows and trusts Satan. Some kid they dont know about deleting the bug man would hold almost no weight and likely make it worse. So, Satan taking the hit keeps Gohan safe, keeps rhe world calm and Satan keeps up the lie.

Ever since the series ended and reaction content exploded, I've enjoyed watching people react to the series as they experience it for the first time. Whether they watched the original show or not, whatever their background might be, it's always fun to see how people react to the series as a whole as well as individual moments. The Krillin owned count will be going to -39 soon lol. This abridged show started more than a decade ago with myspace jokes, Goku saying "what" a lot, a farmer losing his "carrot patch" and Krillin getting slapped through Kame house and ended like this. They really came a long way in those years. I think there is just the epilogue, the shortz, HiFl and the Buu bits left at this point. If you're still interested in checking out abridged shows, can I recommend Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged (YGOTAS) by Little Kuriboh? It was the first real abridged show and is a bit rough at the start, but I think it's well worth the watch. Much like the DBZA crew, you get quite attached to everyone somehow. Little Kuriboh does most of the voices by himself until much later in the show which shows how good a VA he is. Little Kuriboh voiced Frieza and the narrator in DBZA.

The earth dragon being unable to bring back someone more than once isn't a new twist - for example, it's why Krillin didn't get wished back when everyone else on Namek did, and had to get wished back three months later on Earth. They still could have brought Goku back with the Namek dragon, the reason they didn't is that he asked them not to.

A couple fun facts for you: -The Cell Juniors were all named after the different Cell voice actors. Minus Vegeta Jr. of course. -You actually still have a bit of TFS content left. For DBZA you have 18 videos left, which I listed below. Hellsing Ultimate Abridged is also made by the same people. -King Kai's planet is actually not Heaven. So when Cell blew up he only destroyed King Kai's planet. DBZA content left: -6 DragonShortz -11 HFIL (Cell in Hell) -Buu Bits I would suggest watching Buu Bits last after watching the actual series through. Since it's only certain bits of The Buu Saga it will make alot more sense with knowledge of the OG show. Really glad you guys reacted to this and am looking forward to what you release next!

Being real… You wouldn’t be a good detective. We’ve only watched the first 2 seasons of the original DragonBall Z and are only halfway through playing the Vegeta saga on DragonBall Z: Kakarot. So every single one of these DBZA reactions are as blind and real as we can get. What’s even funnier to us is that you are the first person to say one of us has watched the original already. Anyone who has complained has had issues that we haven’t watched the original before this. 😂
