I think you missed Peter's angle here. To his mind he sees the price point for this product to be successful much lower than it currently was, which if that happens, and for whatever reason it doesn't become a HUGE success, he doesn't stand to make much money at all from the investment. The margins aren't fantastic. As he said himself, there isn't ENOUGH money in it for him to invest. He thinks it will succeed, but he doesn't think there's enough payoff, or that the chance of payoff is solid enough, to be worth the risk. Which honestly in his shoes is a very reasonable position. He doesn't have the personal relationships to make it work himself immediately, would have to put legwork in, etc. Makes much more sense for the two female investors with skin in the game and a personal interest in the product. I think solid choices were made on all sides here to be honest.

These protectors would allow me to stop shoe heel ripping in drain holes, covering the heels in mud, protecting them from stones, and so on. I cannot believe that these male Dragons were so gormless. I would have advised to market it abroad in warmer climates. In South Africa, for example, outdoor weddings at wine farms etc are very common among the well heeled, if you will excuse the pun. When we got married, my wife specifically wore a block heel (not sure if that’s what it’s called), to make dancing easier and to walk on the grass for the photo shoot. I’m not sure how common classy or formal outdoor events on soft ground are in the UK. Edit...oh, I watched a little more and I see she has ventured into SA, Aus, NZ etc. Good call...

She talks about starting in late 2006, then said she dealt with breast cancer for about a year and recovered, and didn’t go into any detail about after that. @@hughm1383 i think has to do with weight distribution. A high heel has a very, very narrow tip that cannot effectively distribute the weight. Furthermore, the balance point of the heels are terrible. When you add a circular pad with a larger surface area, it improves both the balance and the weight distribution of a high heel.

This is a great product. They could sell it to wedding organizers to distribute to the guests. In Brazil we give guests flip-flops that cost much more than that so they can remove their shoes and enjoy the party more comfortably. This allows women to keep their beautiful high heels and still walk and dance comfortably.

Considering you can colour coordinate these with countless styles of shoes that seems like something some women will have a pair for every pair of shoes. License them so major labels can repack custom designed ones with their shoes. Seems like a no brainier since she has a patented.

It also protects high heeled shoes walking in the street - I ruined my favourite shoes from getting stuck in grills on pavements and also a pair on muddy grass getting out of a car (pink silk shoes). Some designer shoes are really expensive too so £4.99 is nothing to protect expensive heels.
