Clove hitch with a couple half hitches on the hose followed by a bowling on the van would go a long way to saving the rope from the knife. They are non binding knots that are easily untied and don't slip. From a volunteer fireman who uses these knots for pulling hydraulic hoses through a boom truck while working as a heavy equipment mechanic.
@SASunDog4 жыл бұрын
I use a prussik for nearly everything, but the clove hitch is better for tight places I bet. Also it took me forever to realize the half hitches have to all be in the same direction if one wants to get them apart easily XD

@jaykneegarner24794 жыл бұрын
Rock came in where the pipe had separated. The other guy likely jetted it in to the pipe getting his hose stuck in the process. As for the remains of the hose it will be removed when the owner pays someone to dig the broken pipe up to fix it. Hopefully he does it soon as it will get real expensive having to call a plumber out to unclog the pipe over and over again!
@jaykneegarner24794 жыл бұрын

You have given me an idea for a new tool. What do you think about a long flexible 4 prong grabber with lottle barbs to brab better, sort of like you rigid one but with a light and camera on the end. say, 20-25 ft long? On the monitor, an extra video output jack could be added to allow a direct video connection to whater ever you are using to record the video . What do you think?
