I am baffled that in California, they don't have enough patronage to keep their restaurants open or to just serve vegan food. Wowww!! Does this mean more people are no longer vegan? Does it mean that more people are eating at home because these restaurant prices are ridiculous? My whole thing with vegan restaurants was that I found out that some of these places were using these vegan meat products and that completely turned me away. If I go to a vegan restaurant and pay those prices, then I want the authentic take on the recipes and not a beyond burger patty. Anywho, I think that I have said enough.

what's funny is a few vegan restaurants in recent years had decided to add animals to their menu in a bid to make more profit but instead had to shut down as they lost their customer base and did not attract enough news ones. We will see if their gimmick is enough to bring in an abundance of new customers.

I just read where Sage will be premiering a video tonight on KZbin I guess explaining why they are transitioning from being vegan only restaurant. I would never demean them for their decision to change. I would just decline to eat there since their beliefs are no longer my beliefs. Most people (Not All) with mics and keyboard thumbs are mean just because they can be. The world is forever changing even when we don’t like it

As the community i feel yeah they need to clap back because i was so happy to see restaurants that are fully vegan that dont cross contaminate. Its hard to not do that in a restaurant that serve both in large quantities and busy crowds.

💯 I cannot believe how many vegans are actually ok with what they are doing and are on their side. Like what? If if was the other way around, meat eaters would be bashing vegans nonstop. They already do. Most people already hate vegans and are so rude and disgusting. I really wish lab meat would come out everywhere! Yall was hungry lol, shoot me too watching yall. And OMFG I been going to Sage for over 10 years! It was one of the first vegan restaurants I ever went to. "Regenerative" animal agriculture is a lot of bullshit! I will not be eating there again. They should have just started another restaurant and shut down Sage instead of turning a vegan one into one that serves animals. It is ridiculous. I do think its important to educate people in a respectful way and not just try to drag them, but these people aren't ignorant and should be called out. I just went to read the comments and none stuck out to me as unacceptable (maybe some were removed). But this does let us know they weren't a vegan restaurant for ethnics and much as profit. A lot of people jumped on the "vegan bandwagon" to make money, and I'm not totally against that as we were provided with some awesome options. But that means profit will always be put ahead of animal rights. A lot of establishments have been suffering because most of us do not have a lot of disposable income. I really hope they looked at all their options...honestly it would be funny if it turns out putting animals on their menu makes profits worse.

I think them switching shows where their heart is. Maybe if more customers would have had heart to heart conversations they would have learned the owners morals and maybe had the chance to sway them to have never made that change. I am not a vegan and I will never be one so it's hard for me to fully understand the problem with the transition. Does transitioning to now both vegan and non-vegan options contaminate the vegan selections? If it doesn't then I don't see what the issue is. But again, I"m not vegan so maybe there is more to this then what I see/hear. I'm a subscriber because I genuinely just love you all and the content.

Every time y'all do a boil I'm like I have to do this. I've been vegan for 10 years and have never had a boil. I live in NC we have a lot of vegan restaurants closing too. Everything has gone up and I'm sure everything for them has tripled and if we don't support them this is what happens. I have said if I ever go back to eating meat I will want to eat animals grass-fed and no steroids I know killing is killing but I believe it's healthier.

I guess a business can do what they want but, going from a vegan based business to regenerative agriculture is confusing, unless the vegan aspect only mattered as a fad to the business as opposed to caring for animal life now putting the environment ahead of mammals? Regenerative agriculture focus on practices impacting the environment. Also ppl have a lot of online courage.

I don’t mean to sound harsh but the poor animals are going to get put down either way it goes. I would rather we implement more humane and ethical ways to do this. So, if there are restaurants and other food businesses willing to adopt better ways to handle these animals, I’ll take it.
