no because i am scared of the ocean for like numerous of reasons like bro theres so many things that could kill or hurt you in there and not just sharks like sting rays, sculpins, the lion fish just to name a few but also theres the fact that no one has discovered the whole ocean yet or know what half of the things in there are but on the other hand the lakes, rivers, and ponds are a whole story on there own the amount of bacteria that just live in there is nasty and have you heard of the one parasite that has swam up peoples pee stream and like got them really sick or even killed them because of that like i know thats like out in the amazon or somewhere but honestly i dont think i would ever swim anywhere but a pool and not one of those public pools either but like your backyard pool or a pool at an air bnb for those reasons among others

You do have some good points. And I have thalassophobia, but I do understand that nothing where the level I swim would hurt me. The reason I don't get in ocean water is actually because of a different phobia, kabourophobia. The phobia of crabs and lobsters. I have really bad fear of crabs. And to be honest, I don't really know why crabs freak me out so much, they just do.

I definitely agree like in our country we don't have sea/ocean and we usually go on vacations in summer because we only have lakes and rivers and there's one local beach in our town where everyone goes so moral of the that water- oml in 5th grade biology teacher took examples from that lake to show us microorganisms 🤩 it is full of mud and it smells miles away 👨🏻‍🍳🤌 in the fall and spring they fish there 😍
