@@gavs928 Yeah. Especially since there's presumably fully nocturnal species in the world, and this would probably be a just, chill place to go. If anything I suspect it's probably one of the safer places to be during the night.

Maybe it's because I was watching on a tiny phone screen, but I wouldn't have noticed the difference I also wonder if they're getting better at finding Julia's clues. The first season had so many that they just glossed over and ended up getting it right kinda by brute force? I think the part I love most about this series isn’t just the goofs and gags the team does playing their characters but all the genuine love and heart and creativity that Julia puts into making it. This whole show is a masterclass in artistic passion. As a Graphic Design major one of my favorite things to do is to pause when they go to a new room and just appreciate the background and character design and think about how she did it and it’s honestly so creatively inspiring for me. I know the algorithm and views are a fickle thing but I genuinely hope that Julia doesn’t end up disappointed with any of it. Imagine being in a room with hundreds of thousands of people who absolutely adore what you make and that *you* made it. That is nothing to be disappointed about.

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Julia’s growth as an artist, storyteller, & gm? Like. Jebus Chris that was incredible -Animated a whole town (wtf im awestruck) -Drew every single painting on that wall & allowed them to be knocked down -Drew all of those beautiful backgrounds for what was essentially a (super compelling) one shot that sets the tone for the rest of the season. -Also her characterization of NPCs & PCs through art & voice acting was just so delightful I loved Lona & the little drawtectives (+Eugene) stack jfksjdj I’m totally riveted. Can’t wait to see what happens next :D

That was so good! The whole episode was so fun, but that midnight lightning ceremony animation was SO SO GOOD. And then the end credits!! Also I'm already convinced that the high-collared actor is Jane Colson in "disguise." Calling it now!
@M.Datura2 күн бұрын
Yeah, once I saw the "Wanted" poster I thought immediately about that. Especially with the hidden face, the coat that could 100% be stuffed, and the lack of speaking, the voice even seemed to fluctuate between several different modes of speech like the "character's voice" was forgotten.
@Bloodanna2 күн бұрын
That is the logical choice, but I really want her to be disguised as the Nosy Neighbour. XD
@perkinsjustinl2 күн бұрын
Notice if you shorten Jane Colson's name you get Jan C? or...Jancy?

I'm not usually a commenter but when someone puts so much time and effort into something like this, it deserves to be celebrated and praised! Beautiful work! Absolutely loving this season so far. ❤

Dang, Julia really got me with that bait and switch 🤣 Also the end credits?!?!?!?!?!? JULIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of this is so incredible, I'm so in awe of how much work Julia put in (including a "shortcut" of drawing a hallway full of paintings that only get's viewed for a few seconds lol). Also, can I just say that I feel like Jacob, Nathan, and Karina did a great job of balancing being the same goofy characters as always with actual solid detective work? It's fun for the pacing of the show, but also realistic that they would actually get better at asking the right questions without Jancy to guide them now that they've got more experience. Loved all of it, can't wait for the next episode! Amazing work as always, especially Julia!

The beautifully detailed backgrounds, unique character designs, wonderful voice acting... and multiple animated sequences??? I feel like I'm watching a fully produced show! I'm just so impressed by all the work Julia (and the whole team) put into making this, it was such a treat to watch the premiere live! 💜

The ending was so gorgeous - both the lighting ceremony and the animated outro. Love all the little references in the background of that and all the details about the community of Midnight Alley. Love that instead of the ‘traditional’ grimy, evil hangout this is a really supportive community for all kinds of weirdos. Excellent.
