@@andrewbeleckis8643 Hi there, I debated replying to this because I don't want to be argumentative, but Julia has specifically asked people to stop speculating about her neurotype. Also as an autistic person myself, whose life has been profoundly affected by my experiences, I don't personally enjoy it being used as a jokey stand-in for any kind of regular experience someone might have re. having strong interests, being blunt, sensitive, socially awkward etc. and implying "everyone's a little bit autistic" (I assume you were referencing the 'touch of the tism' meme). Even if you're autistic yourself, maybe that kind of joke could be kept within the community where everyone has the same context, rather than shared more broadly? Anyway, I'm not trying to start an argument here, just adding an alternative point of view.

@@shockofthenewi really like how you presented your point without being accusatory or argumentative. we shouldn’t be speculating about a real persons neuro type, especially if julia specifically talked about her discomfort with that. as an autistic person myself i didn’t find that offensive but i can see how others might find it offensive or in bad taste.

When I was in high school, I played in a DnD campaign in which one of my friends played a character called "The Soup Goblin" whose whole purpose was to derail the campaign in the name of soup. There were several instances where we were forced to chase the soup goblin down to stop him from breaking into someone's house to steal their soup or soup-making supplies. So happy to see him illustrated here :^)
@thebadpoet5 ай бұрын
You should check out the Dolmenwood setting for Gavin Norman’s Old School Essentials system. There’s a creature you can play called the Woodgrue, which is a bat faced goblin-esque asshole that can cause all sorts of chaos with music (though the current version removed the causes hearers to strip naked if they fail a spell save effect that was in the early access pdf) and have to make a save themselves when they see anyone partying. If they fail the party save, they are compelled to join the party. Even if they succeed the save and are able to ignore the party, they are in a bad mood all day because of missing out on party time. Replace “party” with “soup” and it’s basically your friend’s old character!

I often have huge amounts of celery taking up fridge space because at the supermarket it is inexplicably SO MUCH cheaper to buy a whole celery than it is to buy prepackaged individual stalks. I REFUSE to spend more money to get less product (in this economy???) so I'll buy the head, use the 2 stalks I actually needed for my minestrone or whatever, and then just eat cream of celery soup for like a week straight.
@emisformaker5 ай бұрын
Just in case it's helpful, celery keeps for quite some time if it's kept in water in the fridge. I will wash it and cut it up into sticks, then put it in a container and cover it in water. Also, if you're generally eating it cooked and the texture doesn't matter, you could dice and freeze it in correct quantities for the recipes you tend to make, then add it straight from the freezer. I can't remember the last time I saw celery cheap enough that I would buy some.

18:00 speaking of walking oily planks: in gloucester MA during the yearly st. peters fiesta, one of the events held is the "slippery pole" which is exactly what it sounds like. contestants climb up a structure off the shore and try to walk across & grab a flag at the end of the pole to win! not sure if they even win anything aside from bragging rights for the year

@KaidenZvek5 ай бұрын
@@jamesyoungquist6923 I think we all know that but it's not a bad thing to putt your ideas out there since a discord/patron member might get inspired by them and recommend them themself. Also, if I am not mistaken, Karina at least recently confirmed that she still reads the comments when a video goes up and is often delighted by them. And we all know Karina does whatever she wants(cause she's a kween uwu) so I'd say it's fair to assume that if a suggestion peaks her interest it has a non zero chance of making it to an episode

i just recently fell quite in love with a girl from tinder and she's so sweet, cool and interesting. we're both the first people we ever got a date with on any of the sites, we've been going out for a couple weeks now. if you're not in any social circles and dont know where to meet someone give the sites an honest chance. my sister met a really nice girl there too.

Fun fact! Myrmidon means "ant", and there's a roundabout in Thessaly (where Achilles was born) that has a dope-ass statue of a giant ant in hoplite gear.

That sounds really cool and I couldn't find it on preliminary Google search - do you have sauce for dope statue?

@@scottshafer4502 I searched it in greek with Άγαλμα μυρμηγκιού Θεσσαλίας and I found the image (mostly generic statues on image search but hopefully it works with your and Rachano's algorithm) via an article about it (by "news 247") and it being hate commented on twitter.
